The capital of Trinidad & Tobago is a buzzing and friendly city famous for its lively carnival. The city sits on the northwest coast of Trinidad, and is a great place to discover island culture. The streets are peppered with stalls selling everything, from fruit and vegetables to clothing and CDs. Piarco Airport (POS) serves Port of Spain, and is also the only international airport on the island of Trinidad. The airport underwent major expansion in 2001, and is a major transit hub for travellers heading to the Southern Caribbean.
