Discover Kuching
Borneo’s largest city is packed with culture and history, with an added pinch of modern style. Once home to the White Rajahs of Sarawak, today Kuching is a sophisticated city with plenty of attractions. Temples, mosques, and colonial buildings add plenty of colour and character to the busy streets, while street food stalls provide the flavour. Kuching has a reputation for being Malaysia’s cleanest city, and is also one of the most multi-cultural. While Kuching has lots to keep visitors occupied, it’s also a great base for excursions into Bako National Park, where you can go trekking through the jungle.
Airports in Kuching
Kuching International Airport (KIA) serves the city of Kuching, but is also the only airport serving Malaysia’s Sarawak region. The airport was renovated in 2006 and 2008, and has a look similar to Kuala Lumpur’s International Airport.
