Las Vegas McCarran Airport
Las Vegas McCarran Airport is located 6 miles south of downtown Las Vegas. There are 2 terminals at the airport, both Spirit Airlines and Southwest Airlines flights to San Diego, California depart from Terminal 1. It is advised that you should arrive at Las Vegas airport at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your flight. There are check in counters, self-service machines, online and mobile check in options available for passengers. For convenience and speed online or mobile check in is recommended.
In the Terminal 1 departures lounge there’s plenty of shops, dining options and leisure facilities to enjoy. Shops at Las Vegas Airport include Benefit Cosmetics, Hudson News, Ethel M Chocolates, Best Buy and Tech on the Go. Dining options include Auntie Anne’s pretzels, 360 Gourmet Burritos, Burger King, California Pizza Kitchen, Cinnabon, Juice Express and many more.
A spa, aviation museum, art works and gaming area can be found in the terminal, ideal for those with a little spare time available before their flight.

San Diego International Airport
San Diego International Airport, 3 miles from downtown San Diego has 3 terminals. Southwest Airlines arrive into Terminal 1 and Spirit Airlines arrive into Terminal 2.
The 992 metro bus route from San Diego Airport departs from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 every 15 minutes to various drop offs in downtown San Diego. A one way ticket costs $2.25, and a day pass is $5. If you’re travelling beyond downtown San Diego you can take the 992 bus to the Santa Fe train station where you can connect with Amtrak and Coaster train services.
Taxis are available from the Transportation Plaza (which can be reached by following the signs), a typical taxi fare to downtown San Diego will cost $15-20.
If you have chosen to rent a car from San Diego Airport you can take a shuttle bus to the Rental Car Center where you will find a number of car rental companies. Booking your car rental online in advance is recommended.
