Ryanair and Tui both offer summer seasonal flights from Bournemouth to Palma. If you want to visit Palma during the winter you'll need to take an indirect flight, usually via London or Madrid.

Bournemouth Airport has one terminal. It's a small but functional airport with everything you need to keep you entertained before boarding. There are two shops at the airport: World Duty Free and WH Smith. If you're hungry, there are three places to eat: Estpresso, Joe's Coffee House and The Olive Tree. Free Wi-Fi is available for up to one hour per device. If you need more time online you can buy a pass: an extra hour of Wi-Fi costs £5*, a day costs £10* and one month costs £30*.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Palma Airport is the gateway to Mallorca. Two buses serve the airport. Line 1 goes to the city's main tourist attractions and the port, while route 21 serves the main hotels along Palma beach. Official taxis are available at the taxi rank outside the airport, or you can arrange a transfer in advance. Car hire from Palma Airport is a good option if you're staying in a rural part of the island or if you want to get out and discover Mallorca's secluded beaches and charming interior.

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to fly to Palma from Bournemouth. Try to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart. Security can often get busy during the summer, so bear this in mind when heading to the airport.
