What to bring on a holiday to Mauritius
You only need to arrange a Visa in advance if you’re visiting Mauritius to work. UK Nationals flying to Mauritius for a holiday simply need to present their passport and return ticket on arrival, in exchange for a three month Visa. If you’re travelling alone with children, bear in mind that you may need to present a document to prove that you have parental responsibility.
It’s wise to visit your doctor two months before travelling to find out if any vaccinations are required. Remember to take out a health insurance policy as medical care in Mauritius is expensive.
