We fell in love with the Riyad El Cadi!

A small paradise in the middle of the medina of Marrakech. The ideal place to enjoy this exciting city very personally looked after. Super nice and helpful staff who have accompanied us best our stay. Hassan in particular has grown close to our hearts. We will come back!

Wish we had gone home

Unfortunately it was cold when we went but the Riyad was not prepared for cold weather. The wall heater was inadaquate we asked for some heaters and were given a range of old inadequate heaters some didn't word or blew all the fuses. We were really cold all the week. Some rooms looked nice but the ones we were given were very rudimentary bed filled most of the room and this copper basin ( see picture ) filled up most of the rest, no chairs, wardrobe or shelves the wardrobe was outside off the balcony. No chairs on the balcony. we had a small living room with a tatty 2 seater sofa, 2 plastic broken chairs for 4 people ( see Picture ) and again this copper bowl taking up a lot of space again no heating. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast the same each day. Evening meal very expensive but quite ordinary Overall not great.

A hidden gem in the Medina

We were so well looked after in this delightful riad. A pre-arranged taxi took us to the fringes of Djema el Fna where we were met with a trolley, and our luggage was speedily whisked across the square and through some little alleys to the hotel entrance. We received very warm welcome and some lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. This riad offers truly delightful Moroccan hospitality, surrounded by many beautiful antiques and artefacts. It’s a really authentic experience.
We had booked the Blue House, a little riad within the riad with its own courtyard, orange tree, kitchenette and three bedrooms. This was a peaceful and charming retreat from the bustle of the medina.
Our breakfast experience was exceptional. Having requested an early breakfast due to our departing flight and expecting perhaps a takeaway box which we would have been more than happy with, to our delight a curtain was pulled back to reveal a beautifully laid table in the lovely lounge area, which was made all the more cosy by a heater which had been thoughtfully switched on.
Thank you to all at Riyad El Cadi for your warm hospitality and kindness!

The Riyad El Cadi is a very cute little hotel in the middle of the Medina. A peaceful oasis in the midst of a hsutle and bustle. The rooms are nice and spacious and the towels are great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace is superb.
The entrance hall of the hotel needs an update. The sofa is old and neglevted and it could do with a bit of modernisation. with a few touch ups it would look stunning and make a great first imrpession.
