Marvelous English manor in Piedmont.

Corte Langosco is a marvelous country house in the English manor style, with its own gates and walled yard. It is located in the Parco Ticino, a nature lovers escape. The place is very peaceful, surrounded by fields and greenery. It is only 30 minutes easy and beautiful drive through the countryside to Malpensa airport and a 40 minutes drive to the great Roman town Novara.
The proprietor is extremely hospitable, genuinely caring for the comfort of her guests. It is very rare these days and we were lucky to experience such an amazing hospitality, with bags help, most generous breakfast and overall friendliness and flexibility.
We stayed in a beautifully decorated Blue Room. The overall style of the place is of an English manor, including the bathroom fixtures and the furniture. Everything is of a very high quality, very artistic. The bed with canopy was very comfortable, the wifi good, the bathroom was nice, with very strong excellent shower. Bathrobes were provided and many towels. The heating was excellent, the views from the opposite windows were marvelous. The room was very cozy and quite large.
The breakfast room was lavishly decorated and the dinnerware was excellent. The overall design in the old tradition is very elegant and sophisticated. The breakfast was fantastic! We liked it so much that we stayed the second time for one night again. Car parking is outside the gates, very safe. We will certainly stay there again when flying from Malpensa in the morning, and also for exploring the environs of Novara and Vigevano.
One word of caution - the place is very peaceful however it is a country house with no soundproofing, so if there are other guests staying in the adjacent two rooms, you will hear them. This is quite typical in a B&B located in the old house.
Overall it was one of the best ever B&B we have ever stayed. Highly recommended.

Great potential (beautiful antique) but poor standard of cleaning

Your first impression once you step in is: WAW, beautiful little hotel in the middle of the country side. Very especial because you feel like going to the past, apparently glamorous, even with silver stuff for deco, etc. HOWEVER our room (no wifi), seems to have been used for someone that actually lives there. We found pictures of a little girl, dirt shelves full of dust accumulated from ages i imagine, same the beautiful lights hanging from the ceiling dust everywhere. In the closet we found clothes and even a Halloween mask, and even worst, the was a basket with dirty close. Made us wonder if they actually cleaned the bedroom before we arrived.
Positive I have to say they really treated us well in the breakfast. Actually, In that part of the building everything looked much nicer,.. even the rooms that our colleagues had. I think our room wasnt supposed to be rented, it wasnt ready.

Italian charm

A small B&B with a lot of real Italian charm!! All rooms are different decorated with old Italian style. Personally I found it very dark, but it was nice. Some rooms has bathroom, and others you need to share bathroom. One thing I need to complain about is the shower curtain in the shared bathroom. It was digusting! Looked like it had'nt been washed for ages. Free wifi and free parking. Comfy beds. Service was very good!!

Quaint and quiet

Very personal b&b, close to the Malpensa airport. Make sure you have a good map or gps to be able to find it. Definitely worth the effort though. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a slightly flamboyant style, breakfast is rich in every sense of the word (meaning lots of cakes etc - the Italian way - but we also had delicious ham and yoghurt). The hostess is charming and the surroundings rural and restful.

Great end to our Italy trip

We spent our last night in Italy at this lovely B and B and were so glad we did. We needed to stay close to Malpensa Airport and decided to take a chance on someplace different than the usual airport hotel. This is a beautiful old home, lovingly restored and also very comfortable and quiet. It is in an area that is surrounded by farmland and a national park that runs along the Ticino river. Amazingly, it was an easy 25 minute drive to the airport. The owners were very nice and went out of there way to help us. We had a great breakfast in the morning and also a great dinner at the restaurant next door. Wish we could have stayed longer!
