Everything about our stay was amazing. We were warmly welcomed and all the staff was all top notch. Dinner was excellent. Our room was impeccable and the property is breathtaking. Breakfast was a highlight and we agreed the bed was the most comfortable out of all the places we stayed in our two week trip.
We would love to return and spend more time. Highly recommend!

Good restaurant with hygiene issues.

Friendly service, very tasty food!
But: after about 1 hour, severe digestive issues due to the spoiled side dish.

Castle master for 2 days

Very nice, top renovated hotel complex with comfortable rooms and very friendly staff that makes your stay a special experience. You feel very welcome as a guest.

A special experience!

We found Schloss Frankenberg on our way to the Bodensee in Germany. We needed a hotel for a night and found it quite by accident. It was a wonderful experience. Even though we booked late in the afternoon and arrived after the reception had closed (it was off-season and a weeknight), there was a bottle of wine waiting in our room. The hotel restaurant still accommodated us even though we arrived somewhat late. As for the room, it was large for European standards. The king bed was comfortable and bathroom also roomy with a nice shower. The hotel is an old, converted and updated castle and it has been beautifully redone. (We wish we could have toured it but we got there on a holiday and would have needed to schedule that.) The views from the property down into the valley were beautiful. Finally, back to the restaurant, it too was terrific. Dinner out on the patio was a terrific experience. We enjoyed some different German wines followed by two delicious entrees. Breakfast the following morning is as good as it gets in Europe. They essentially brought a buffet to us with a large basket of breads and a tower of cold cuts and cheeses. They also made us eggs to order. Parking was free on site. Finally, we took advantage of some of the miles of hiking trails starting right at the hotels front door. We will definitely try to go back to Schloss Frankenberg and spend more than just one night!
