The Best Time! Perfect for Solo Travellers

Genuinely one of the nicest, cleanest and most pleasant hostels I have ever stayed in. The hostel itself has a lovely, friendly personality which is personified by the AMAZING staff. As a solo traveller I could not recommend this hostel more, the staff went above and beyond any expectations and the hostel itself is perfect.
The hostel itself has huge lockers to store all your luggage, air conditioning, curtains for privacy, with shelving, charging ports and a night light next to your bed. There is a balcony and a shared common area where I had the pleasure of meeting lots of other friendly travellers, and most importantly they have lots of free tea!
As soon as I arrived Brian gave me a huge run down of all the exciting things to do in Split all tailored to my own wants, Leo then offered me some great conversation, some awesome tasty tea concoctions, and the occasional pretty hilarious meme, and then Myrea was friendly throughout my entire stay, showing me some awesome rustic local Croatian bars (10 Kuna's for G&T! ... Cannot complain) as well as booking my excursions and dealing with my general queries on a day to day basis. All the staff welcomed me out with them on my first night providing me with an amazing start to my holiday Croatia, and their kindness continued throughout my entire stay.
Again I could not recommend staying here more! :D

Unhelpful Staff, Cliquey Hostel

It appeared that there were 2 hostel rooms, both of which go through one door. I was in the first room but people were constantly walking through this door to go to the other door. There is only one bathroom (toilet) for women and two showers. The hostel was cliquey; I felt like I was intruding on a college party. The staff were rude. I had left my pajamas there and emailed them to ask them to keep them for me when I'd be back in a week. They told me no problem. When I huffed across town in the heat and arrived, they stared at me and told me they don't have them. I asked if I could look around and they said no. I told them I texted and they said I probably texted the wrong people. I do NOT recommend this hostel.

Just average

Good location. Nice atmosphere and people. Helpful staff. Bit of a strange layout though. Mostly clean and tidy
Bed sheets were ripped. You have to walk through another room to get to your room. Bathroom was next to the kitchen. Just 2 women's showers with curtains so not a lot of privacy. Just one single hob to cook so didn't bother queuing to use it.

Perfect location, large, clean rooms and relaxed host. A very small and quiet hostel so don't expect a party atmosphere.

The hostel is in a perfect location - a few minutes walk from Diocletian's Palace and the Pier. The rooms are very spacious with clean beds and large lockers to store your belongings. The host, Steven, is incredibly nice and relaxed and told us about all of the main spots in town. The hostel is very small (only about 10 beds) and was empty when we went (during Covid) so if you're looking for a lively atmosphere, this hostel wouldn't be for you but otherwise, a nice small hostel for good price.

Best hostel I've stayed in yet

I had so much fun here mainly thanks to the AWESOME STAFF. Steve had the best recommendations and gave me a bday cider on the house, Brian took me out for bday lunch and woke me up with breakfast shots, Myrea made me the most delish Turkish coffee, Leo taught me all the most offensive and rude Croatian sayings (not that I was any good at pronouncing them but I gave it my best shot). THANKS SO MUCH GUYS best bday trip ever I am super tempted to come back next month.
The hostel itself is cleaned every day by the volunteer workers who are all so nice and are always up for a chat/to make you turkish coffee. While the hostel is downsized and can only house a number of guests, the rooms are super spacious and bright, too. I feel that being a smaller hostel makes it a little easier to make friends because you all share a more intimate space. My FAVE addition is the curtains on the beds. You'd be surprised at how much difference something as small as that can make - it just gives you that extra bit of privacy in the room.
