Roomy option 15 minutes from the center.

The best feature of En Route hostel might be that a Tommy’s supermarket is 30 seconds away. The hostel is not far from the center but you'll need to walk 10 to 15 minutes. I would prefer to stay on the other side of the city center.
The 20 bed dorm was roomy and never felt crowded. Good privacy curtain and lockers to store your bags. Bathrooms were plentiful and mostly clean but could use some maintenance.
There is a large living room space if you want to hang out. No real activities but they sell tours. Hostel was quiet at night.
Kitchen is not big and has basic supplies. Beware that it closes at 10pm, like closes for real.
I was happy with the hostel but it's really expensive in the summer.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and personally I wouldn’t do it again. This hostel was a very welcoming place! It just didn’t feel very clean - especially in the bathrooms! The hostel itself was very hard to find… there were building works going on which apparently have been going on for over a year now. I feel as though the hostel should place signs pointing to where it is. The hostel was also located in a place which didn’t feel so safe. But the hostel itself felt very safe, which is a positive. There was a Tommys supermarket just next to the hostel which came in very handy for breakfasts. Overall, I personally wouldn’t stay here again, but I would recommend for people to have a short stay of 1-2 nights and use it as just a place to sleep shower and prepare to go to the next destination.

Hostel

Very clean & good facilities & very friendly staff the kitchen opens at 7am & closes at 10pm I’m an early riser so wold have liked a kettle near drink machine & then I would have given my rating higher my first time in hostel & will do more so overall a great first experience

Pleasant stay

Twas a good place to stay in Split. Near old town, maybe a good 15min walk. Nearby grocery and cafe as well. If you're coming from the back, there wasnt a clear signboard of the hostel so it was a bit difficult to find. Otherwise the hostel is clean, staff were okay. I lost my food though in the fridge. Not sure if it was taken by other guests or was binned by staff but it has my name and date of check out on it.
Also kitchen was closed at night till 6am. Not very convenient for an early riser who wants to make coffee at 4-5am. Rooms are really spacious too. Wifi can be slow at night.

Amazing

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were amazing, very helpful and welcoming especially Matea. The location is great, very close to the beach and a short walk from the centre. The beds have curtains which give you privacy and the hostel was very clean. Would definitely stay here again
