The Rundle chalets are tired. The staff are doing the best they can. The accommodations have seen better days. Our shower had cracked tiles and holes. The room had 2 small bedrooms, a kitchen area and not really any indoor space to sit and

Spent 3 nights in Cabin 24. Bedrooms are tiny with bed placed against the wall requiring 2nd person to climb in and out. Windows and sills dirty. Refrigerator not working. Range hood did not work, I had to use a flashlight to cook on stove. No spatula. Common room spacious but poor lighting. Beds were comfortable. Toilet and beds clean. Caught foot on damaged floor surfacing under and around the wood stove. 1 step up from camping.

This was the most terrible stay we have ever had throughout our 20 plus years staying at multiple hotels and chalets.
We tried staying in the Cathedral Crags cabin.
We get it is rustic and we have done Rustic before. But it was dirty, the sheets felt dirty and the place smelt like piss. Stale hot air and piss. We opened windows to try to air out the place but that did not work. All we could smell was piss.
The place hasn’t mowed since probably last year and there where fallen trees they have cut down at some point and the logs and branches are scattered all throughout around the cabin. Not cleaned up at all.
My wife was going to have a shower but did not as the shower was disgusting and there was a legit hole in the floor of the shower, exposing sharp plastic rigid edges. Perfect place to probably cut yourself and get a disease.
We ended up packing up all our stuff and leaving at midnight as we couldn’t sleep because of the smell and not feeling clean at all.
This place was $575.00 a night and we got the heck out of there.
Absolutely would not recommend staying here if you are one bit expecting a nice cozy cabin to relax in the mountains.
So disappointing to spend that kind of money and not be able to stay there.

We were not impressed, the kitchen was not staffed well. Only on pan that had no lid and only one frying pan. No pot pad holders. No strainer for draining spaghetti noodles. Just a few dishes.
The shower had a false floor and one of the boards was loose - we lifted the board up and it was filthy underneath.
The covering on the coach was old and the big arm chair was comfortable but old and I wondered if the upholstery had ever been cleaned. Also, more lighting would be helpful. Bedroom small and the bed filled the room, no room for a night stand - would be helpful to have a shelf.
For what we paid, we felt we were taken advantaged of. We were also asked to throw out our own trash in the dumpster - which we did, again feeling for what we paid - we shouldn't have to do that.
We did not appreciate the added fees to our bill - over and above the quoted room price. So it left a sore taste in our mouth.

Very old cabin with poor maintenance. Bathroom is so small you have to turn sideways to get in. The shower is awful and could not get the water fully off. Would not stay again.
