The Hotel Kertess enjoys a quiet location overlooking the village, 500 metres from the ski lifts and the centre of St. Anton am Arlberg. It offers panoramic mountain views and an indoor pool. Hotel parking is 500m above the hotel.

Don't expect 4 stars
Negative: Really a party hotel. Lots of noise, manager of the pub turns up the music ridiculously loud until the middle of the night. (Every day) You can hear apartment doors closing loud and clear. Rooms mediocre but clean.
Positive: Food fine, nice staff, van to slopes. It's just not a 4-star hotel.

Nice, well maintained hotel
An older but neat hotel, with good breakfast buffet and a four-course dinner that was always very tasty. The pool was a pleasant size so you could really swim. Sauna and steam bath were also good, only the relaxation room was a bit small. The hotel is situated on a hillside in a quiet location, but has a bus stop in front of the house. The bus runs hourly. In the center of the village you are also in a few minutes walk.

Beautiful! Warm and with lots of Tyrolean charm!

Long review:
The service is great, the whole team is just incredibly friendly! I felt extremely comfortable! Since this is the first time I have travelled alone, I initially had some concerns about how this will be, but you will be treated so warmly there that I felt safe and comfortable right away! I even received a packed lunch for breakfast the night before for my departure as I had to leave so soon in the morning; I was so thrilled!
All are also mega helpful (- I got advice more than once regarding the many hiking offers in the area). The whole team is extremely warm and with lots of Tyrolean charm and humor.
The location of the hotel is also beautiful - you have the sight of the mountains and trees everywhere on the left right. Hiking trails of all kinds are almost on the doorstep; you walk max. 5-10 minutes and is located equal to many beautiful hiking trails of all levels or can go to the mountain railways.
The hotel is not far from the train station. It is located a bit on the mountain and therefore if you arrive by train with your luggage it is recommended to ask the hotel, because if you announce in time they send the shuttle bus.
The hotel itself is beautiful, both from the outside and from the inside. Inside as well as in the room itself you will find the decor as I had wished - adapted to the beautiful Tyrolean environment and nature. The room itself: with beautiful dark green carpet and light wooden furniture - due to the light painting of the walls, the wooden furniture does not press the room, but it remains very appealingly light and loose.
I attach great importance to hygiene and the hotel is also top in this respect.
The indoor pool of the hotel I was only too happy to use - excellent after hiking to relax.
Only- by the pool the wall painting - and this is not a criticism in the true sense, because the picture is a beautifully painted beach landscape - I personally would find a Tyrolean mountain world a little more appealing here, so you can imagine swimming in a mountain lake ;) but as I said, purely personal taste and no criticism, because painted it is really extremely beautiful!
The food:
Both breakfast and dinner was not only plentiful but also mega delicious! The choice at breakfast was great: you can pick up breakfast or scrambled eggs from the buffet and have the choice of several milks, yogurts, cereals, toppings, various breads, cheeses and sausages as well as fresh vegetables and fruits. Also there were various fruit juices as well as about a dozen teas to choose from - so more than perfect for me :)
Dinner was fantastic - there was always soup, salad buffet, main course and dessert. Since the soup was not vegetarian on 2 nights, they even brought me one with vegetable bouillon. In the main course you could always choose from 2 dishes: either a meat/fish dish or vegetarian. If you don't find anything here, you can even choose from 3-4 different spaghetti dishes.
In summary: I am very happy that I found this hotel, an absolute lucky break for me! I would like to thank the whole team again for the wonderful time!
