Beautiful vacation hotel in Hinterstoder

We have already spent several vacations at the Poppengut in Hinterstoder and were thrilled every time. The rooms are well-equipped and very clean, the balconies invite you to linger. The breakfast is extensive and offers everything you need. Fresh egg dishes are prepared upon request and various types of coffee are on offer. The afternoon snack is varied and hearty. On the beautiful terrace in the inner courtyard, you can sit and relax in almost any weather. The dinner is freshly prepared and very balanced. There is always a good selection and special requests are implemented. The spa area with a beautiful outdoor pool and a pleasant indoor pool is spacious. The cabin sauna in the garden is a nice special feature. The garden is beautifully maintained and very quiet due to its size. There are many shaded areas. The staff is super sweet and always friendly and helpful. We give it 12 out of 10 points!

Great family-run hiking and wellness hotel in Hinterstoder

In my opinion, the Poppengut is the best hotel in Hinterstoder and an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. I have already been to the hotel twice. The rooms (I only know the comfort rooms and country house rooms) are clean, modernly furnished, quietly located, and have a great view of the mountains in Hinterstoder. The breakfast buffet is extensive (great bread and many side dishes), the multi-course dinner was always extremely tasty; in the morning, you had a choice between three different meals for the evening, including a vegetarian option. The service was always courteous, helpful, and attentive. Hiking equipment as well as bicycles (normal and e-bikes; of course also helmets) can be rented. After a hike or bike tour, you can wonderfully relax in the swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) as well as in the wellness area (various saunas). Always happy to return!

Relaxing vacation with exceptionally great cuisine!

Exquisite cuisine, they accommodated needs, allergies, or requests! Room nice and cool. Staff friendly and professional. Dog-friendly. Wellness area tasteful and clean. Even if small renovations would be necessary.
We felt very comfortable!

Great selection of dishes with very good quality

Great varied food with very good service. Everyone was very dedicated. We were truly very surprised by this high standard of food. The afternoon snack was also really recommendable. Great selection of cakes and also small dishes.
