Amílcar Cabral International Airport (SID) is also known as Sal International Airport. Until 2005 it was the only international airport in Cape Verde, and is still the main hub. It’s a small airport with just one terminal and only four departure gates.

Getting to your destination

There is no public transport from Sal International Airport. Taxis are widely available outside the terminal building, as are aluguer: shared cars with no set timetable and no set price.
