Airports in Columbia
Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) serves the city of Columbia and the wider Midlands region. It’s five miles south of the city itself. The airport is no stranger to the silver screen. Its biggest claim to fame is a cameo role in the feature film Borat, posing as “New York Airport”. It also starred in the 1943 war movie A Guy Named Joe.
Airlines that fly to Columbia
No airlines currently fly direct from the UK to Columbia. American Eagle, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, United Express and US Airways Express all fly to Columbia from domestic American destinations so it’s possible to take a connecting flight once you arrive on US soil.
Getting into Columbia
Public transport is available, however the bus only runs three times a day: at 7:30am, 1:04pm and 4:55pm. Single tickets into downtown Columbia cost $1.50* (about 95p).
