Airlines that fly from Birmingham to Waterford

Although Aer Arann used to offer flights on this route, there are currently no airlines offering direct flights from Birmingham to Waterford. Indirect flights are available, but they involve a few stops.

Terminal Information – Departing

Birmingham Airport only has one terminal. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport: you just need to register once and your details will be saved for next time. There are plenty of shops to browse while you wait to board your flight, and there's a Cloud Spa so you can treat yourself to some pre-flight pampering. Shops include fashion brands Boss, JD Sports and Next as well as practical stores like Dixon's Travel, Boots and Luggage Point. There's an Ice Currency Exchange in case you need to convert some sterling. Birmingham Airport has lots of food options ranging from snack bars (Burger King, Pret) to restaurants (Frankie & Benny's, All Bar One). There's an M&S Simply Food, too, perfect for putting together an in-flight picnic. Birmingham Airport has two pay-in lounges: one No.1 Traveller Lounge and an Aspire Lounge too. Both offer complimentary snacks and drinks as well as high-speed Wi-Fi access. 

Terminal Information – Arriving

There's no public transport from Waterford Airport. Taxis are available from outside the airport as they meet all arrivals. Hertz is the only car rental agency with a desk in the terminal. Find out more about car hire from Waterford Airport.

Practical Information

Ireland and the UK are both members of the Common Travel Area. This means that technically you don't need your passport to travel between them. Note that some airlines prefer a passport to other forms of identification. Always check the airline's ID requirements before heading to the airport.

What to expect in Waterford

Waterford is in the Republic of Ireland which uses the Euro (€). Waterford has cooler summers and warmer winters than Birmingham, on average. July is the hottest month with temperatures averaging 15°C (17°C in Birmingham) while January is the coldest at 6°C on average (3°C in Birmingham).
