Winter (mid-December to March) is when Whistler’s ski resorts are in full swing. Of course, this time of year also means higher prices, crowds, and hotels that book up fast, especially around the holidays. Wait ... Read more
until the end of the season for better deals: skiing happens as late as June. Summer is as popular as winter, when temperatures are in the 70s Fahrenheit (low- to mid-20s Celsius). Unfortunately, this means that Whistler is just as crowded as ski season, though you might see lower rates at hotels. Better bargains come around in the fall and spring, when the weather is nippier but still nice enough to enjoy the great outdoors.

Was in Whistler in Summer for a weekend trip, over 15 yrs ago when it took almost 4 hr drive there from Vancouver, well before the roads were expanded for 2010 Winter Olympics.

Whistler is an amazing mountain to visit not only in the winter but summer as well! The snowboarding and skiing options are endless with all levels available for even beginners! The summer offers all the greatest downhill biking, trail running and hiking til you drop! Once you are finished with that u can refresh your body in several local lakes!

North America's premier ski resort is practically a year round destination with mountain biking & golfing in the summer as well. The Village has the European chalet ambience & the slopes are world class as this is site for the alpine events for the 2010 Olympics.

Came to Whistler Village for my first time and I can't believe how much this place has to offer; even in the summer. Great expansive views, unlimited outdoor adventures, plenty of shopping and eating and so much more. I also love how the arts council here has lots of music playing all around the village.

Incredible skiing, snow, food, ski school, and overall lifestyle. Beautiful from every angle. Should be on every skiers bucketlist. Don't go around Christmas unless you're prepared to wait in 45 min lineups. March is a great time to go as it is not very cold and there is a lot of snow. There there is also not as many people there in March, and if you go at the right time you can find great deals

If you're into mountain biking, the ski runs and enjoy attending festivals, Crankworx Free Ride Festival is incredible and holds a lot of special memories for us. It is usually held during the summer month of August. If you don't enjoy the snow, but maybe looking for a fun place to experience the energy of the downhill racers, etc...this is a definite must.

Whistler has great runs, a pretty vibrant apres ski scene, plenty to do if you're tired of the slopes. It's also a fun place in the summer for forays out into the woods, or a good layover if you're looking for an adventurous drive on your way farther north.

What car you say about Whistler? What a place - the best skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking in North America and a great village alive with night-life and amazing dining and lodging. Get there!

Visited Whistler 2 summers in a row. Attended the Crank Worx Mountain Bike Festival. It was outstanding. The amenities are great, there is so much to do. Absolutely love this village. I will definitely go back.

I'm glad I live in Vancouver, making the drive up here is short. It's the best of course during the winter but during the summer you could do ATV which is just as fun.
