The West Village preserves the charm of city planning gone by with well-kept 19th-century brownstones and a fair amount of winding cobblestone streets. A bit preppier than its rockin' cousin the East Village, the West Village still hosts a boisterous nightlife scene and sought-after dining spots. Movie stars are known to call it home, while quaint ... Read more

West Village makes you think of New York as what New York is meant to be. The brick homes really scream east coast and give an experience that this West Coaster would like to see more of. In the early Fall, this neighborhood looks even better.

One of the best and definitely my favorite part of NYC. Don't miss it. Just walk around and enjoy endless cafes, bakeries and restaurants hidden amongst tree lined streets. West Village is full of quaint shops that are fun to explore. NYC gem - don't miss it.

This is my home-base, when I'm not traveling. And I have to say, it's one of the best places/neighborhoods in the world! I love it. Everything about it is amazing. The energy is high, but you still feel like you're in a small town. There's tons of great bars & restaurants very close. It's centered in Manhattan so that you're very close to everything (well, everything worth seeing). Never go to NYC without visiting this neighborhood, you won't regret it.

West Village is undeniably my favorite neighborhood in New York City. I could never get bored to stroll the charming streets, gaze at the English-like architecture, stop for pastries and coffee at coffee-shops or explore through the countless boutiques. Can't think of a better walk for spring! It's pleasantly quiet, a rare thing to find in the bustling NYC.

Ah, the West Village, the perfect neighborhood in Manhattan. Strangely angled streets, serendipitous coffee shops and rustic restaurants, filled with artisanal stores and neighborly maintained gardens. It is the area of top-knotch shopping, dining and celebrity dwelling.

The ambiance of the West Village is of higher intelligence, of culture, creativity and friendship. People come here for quality finds and experiences. If you are in Manhattan, and looking for a non-touristy area to stroll and find some of the best NYC has to offer, come visit the West Village.
