Sublime family hotel. Comfortable and clean rooms and a very well protected pool with plenty for kids and adults to do.

Disney has never been known to miss a detail when it comes to creating an "immersive experience", and the French Quarter is no exception. In the massive complex of resorts at Walt Disney World, the French Quarter is among the upper levels of the budget variety which is a pleasant surprise considering the quaint charm of the landscape. French style buildings built to scale are reached by walkways brilliantly resembling old brick streets complete with curbs, detailed iron grates, lamp posts, and wrought iron fences. A finely manicured grass clearing to the left of the main entrance serves as the theater for the nightly showing of Disney classics. Sitting on a blanket on the lawn watching movies by moonlight is pure magic. The resort sits on a river where you can catch a boat to Downtown Disney. This is a wonderful bonus to this resort. The pool is festive and creative for the kids and, for the adults, the hot tubs are spacious and separated from the noise of the pool. A bonus that I didn't expect was the beignets. Made hot and fresh to order, they are excellent and found in the kiosk where you order ice cream and other deserts. Overall, while certainly not the most spectacular, the French Quarter is probably my favorite Disney resort.

Port Orleans French Quarter rooms were refurbished for its 20th years celebration. The resort is beautiful and full of activities, its property has several restaurants, pools, stores and arcades. The castmembers are all friendly and helpful and I found that the atmosphere helped to create a great attitude among the guests.

Port Orleans is the resort at Disney that you want to come to if you want more of an adult Disney experience. Although we were here during an off-season, it was relatively quiet. Of course like the rest of Disney everyone here is almost saccharine friendly and almost unnaturally happy. The setting of the French Quarter of Port Orleans is more of a motel feel. Don't take that to mean that it's cheap or gives you less of an experience. The room is big comfortable and clean. One nice feature I liked was that in addition to the air conditioner/heater there was also a controllable ceiling fan. In addition to two queen size beds, there are also dual sinks outside of the bathroom.
The grounds are very nice to walk around and even saw a little bunny hopping around happily. There's even a video game arcade that's open 24 hours. You can even get fried-to-order begniets at the Sassagula Floatworks food court.
Besides a swimming pool with slides there's also a Jacuzzi.
If you're going to stay at Disney this is not a bad way to do it as well as getting a flavor of New Orleans.

Love being on Disney property. Every day after returning from a day full of fun, the room is cleaned and shown a little love. The souvenirs we bough greet us in different poses, as if they really are Toy Story toys come to life!

The Port Orleans French Quarter is a great resort option if you're looking to laissez les bon temps roulez on your Disney vacation! This is a great hotel that, true to Disney form, pays great attention to detail to really fit a desired theme (in this case, New Orleans' French Quarter). It's a moderate level Disney option, so we found the price to be very reasonable. The room was very nice. My husband didn't like that the resort is more a motel style, with doors open to the outdoors rather than a hotel with corridors and doors opening to interior hallways. My only dislike is that I prefer bathroom sinks to be enclosed in a bathroom rather than part of the room. We borrowed a crib for my son, so the room was a bit cramped with that included, but still comfortable. The dining option is more a cafeteria style than an actual restaurant, but the transportation system throughout Disney makes getting around so easy that a fine dining experience is a short bus ride away. I definitely recommend this resort as a great option for families hoping to head to Disney without breaking the bank OR settling for a 'value' hotel.

Superb resort! Within walking distance of Riverside. Conjures up the old New Orlean's Vibe, disney style. Whilst there hire a watercraft(very reasonable!) and take a river trip through Disney water ways, across the lake and to Downtown Disney. 'Park-Up' at the jetty, rope your boat up, take your key have a meal at Downtown Disney then return via your own private boat! No queues everyone looking at you!

I must say that after living for awhile in New Orleans, I always wondered what it may have looked so long ago. This is the French Quarter in the most sanitized form. Even a bit of Uptown feel with all of the trees.
The rooms here seem small, especially for the price.

You have two choices with Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter or Riverside. My family prefers the more relaxed Riverside. However, the pool area is a bit more exciting at French Quarter.

Tip: request an in-room refrigerator. Stock-up on a few favorites from the food court and store them in the refrigerator for a convenient snack when you're too exhausted to hit the food court.

Love the lazy relaxed grounds here. Whether your style is French Quarter or Port Orleans style, this is a relaxing resort.
Both pools have fun theming with a watering hole type setting and the other with a New Orleans Jazzy flair.
One of the best features of this resort is the boat that can take you to Downtown Disney. The boat ride is enjoyable through the wooded areas that hold the Treehouse Villas.
There is a piano bar with entertainment on most evenings which is alot of fun.
