What most people think of as 'Disneyworld' is a sprawling complex of four theme parks, several themed hotels and many other attractions collectively known as the Walt Disney World Resort. The first and most popular theme park is the Magic Kingdom, finished in 1971 and modeled after Southern California's Disneyland. But rounding out three more of ... Read more
the top ten most visited amusement parks in the world are Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Theme hotels include a Polynesian resort with a white sand beach and luau-type meals with Lilo and Stitch and an African safari-themed lodge overlooking the grazing animals in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Everything is connected by an excellent system of public transportation, including buses and monorails.

When to go

Peak season in Walt Disney World, and, therefore, anywhere in the Orlando area, is anytime that the kiddos have a break from school. If spending most of your day waiting for rides, for restaurants, in traffic, ... Read more
or to take a picture with Goofy is not on your travel itinerary, it’s best to avoid Spring Break (a couple of weeks before and after Easter), summer vacation, Thanksgiving and Christmas. But Orlando is warm year-round, and if you go outside of school vacations, you'll have fewer crowds, off-season prices, and a happier wallet.

Disney World is a classic family vacation. However, the keys to a great Disney vacation are meticulous planning, research, and a good attitude. Everyone there will do their best to make your vacation special, but it’s up to you to plan out what you want to do relatively far in advance.

Destination fun, there is no place like this on earth. It is the magic that only Disney World can create. It has to be done once no matter what age you are.

There's enough here to keep you occupied for DAYS - and that's just in Epcot! We had a 2-day park hopper pass since we skimmed Magic Kingdom (we're California Disneyland passholders), but even with two full days I felt like I needed more time. If you're a first-timer or new to Disney, that's DEFINITELY not enough time. I'd recommend at least a full three days to get the most out of the parks - and your money. And stay on-site!

The parks are so big! We went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. There is a lot of walking so bring comfortable shoes to wear. Buy tickets online instead of at the gate. It is a lot cheaper that way. If you get a 2 day hopper, you don't have to use the tickets 2 days in a row because you have like a week to use them. We took a day break in between the 2 parks and it was perfect. We were not overtired. Remember, no selfie sticks allowed at the parks so keep them at home.

I'm a big Disney fan, so I love it. This park has less thrill rides than the California parks (which have more rides in its two parks than the 4 parks in Florida). It seems they've split up the best rides among the four parks in Florida, so it's hard to choose which, if any, parks you'd want to eliminate from your trip. This park is more aimed for families with small children, but it's a classic park and I still think a must see. Also, the castle here is way bigger than the California one.
