Amid the gorgeous architecture and artifacts is a large garden with a labyrinth that connects to a children's museum on the other side. This museum focuses on what life was like for the royal children 250 years ago.

It was very crowded nearly the whole day. You need to walk a lot, because it's so big.

Loved the experience, but very crowded in the middle of the day. You buy tickets for a later accestime, so be sure to buy tickets first, then roam around the park and eat apfelstrudel, before visiting the castle. End of juli the waiting time could be up to 3 hours. Also a possibility: visit after 5 o'clock in the summer, no to minimal waiting time!

Beautiful summer house, more than 1,400 rooms. See it if you're visiting Vienna. The grounds are massive!

It's outside the city of Vienna but an easy ride on the train. Get there early enough and do the audio tour. Great history.

On one side, the beautiful castel. From the inside, beautiful and nice to see how did they live. I'd recommend taking the audioguide. If you don't wanna pay the ticket, walking around the gardens is also a great experience, they are really nice. In summer with the flowers, and now in the fall woth the yellow leaves is also great

Not quite Versailles, no, but magnificent in its own right, the Schonbrunn Palace is great for a few hours of history (tour lengths vary depending on how much you are willing to fork out -- we went for the cheapest 35 min audio tour) and exploring the surprisingly extensive gardens.

The top attraction in Vienna. Enjoy a walk in the big park, visit the building with a guided tour and if you have kids with you spend some hours in the great zoo.

For foodies you´ll find the Zitrusgarten where they grow different types of lemon. They are also a supplier of the famous Steirereck restaurant.

It isn't so much about the schloss than the other experiences it offers, and one of which is the excellent concerts held at the Orangerie.
Yes, it's a touristy thing to do but the quality is good and the atmosphere fantastic. You get involved in the concert and the musicians asks for your participation! It's a lot of fun :) Not for serious concert goers but for those who enjoy great music and some laughter.

This place and gardens are absolutely gorgeous. I can get lost in the labyrinths for hours, taking naps, reading, and playing the guitar. Perfect place to relax and hangout.

Absolutely fell in love with this Castle. Great to learn about the lives of Austrian Royalty and the way they lived. Even in the winter the grounds are impressive.

I’d say that if you want to visit a single place in Vienna, this should be it. Visit the palace, let it enchant you with the view, decorations, stories; go to the maze and see if you can reach the center. Visit the oldest zoo in the world – and see happy animals and enjoy the garden as well. You won’t regret. I loved this place.

Such a beautiful palace with grounds to match. Plan on spending several hours or at least half a day here to soak it all in. Though not as large as Versailles, this palace has much to offer.

Walking in the vast and beautiful gardens around it or having some coffee in the famous Gloriette on top of the hill with a view over the Palace is simply delightful and certainly a must see in Vienna. During Christmas time the courtyard is filled with stands selling handicraft, sweets and hot ‘glüh’wine.

The thing that I've always loved about Europe is the palaces and castles. Who doesn't go there looking to see at least one? If you go to Vienna and miss this one, you will regret it. It has all the Hapsburg romance and glamor that you would expect, and it's a great way to spend the day.

What better place in Vienna to explore than Schlob Schonbrunn! We attended a symphony here after hours and it was amazing. Everybody felt like they were transplanted back in time when the orchestra started playing all the classics. We felt like royalty except in modern time. Highly recommended that you book tickets to see a symphony here.

reached this palace in the morning for a guided tour. I would advice you to take the guided tour to understand this palace history. this place has great history, inside the palace there are nice painting about that era with real life stories. the painting about the prince marriage is one to watch. the rooms the interiors are getting recreated to restore old world charm. infront of the palace there was a big market might be for Christmas it was really good and cheap prices for everything. you can eat you can drink.. good for everyone
