There's a good reason why there's always a line... because it's the best fish n' chips in town! Definitely worth the wait if you don't have anything else planned afterwards.

Red Fish Blue Fish is a seasonal restaurant in an old cargo container with an outdoor waterfront eatery in the inner harbour and delicious food!

Locals took me there for fresh, excellent fish tacos. Stand in line to take out but nearby tall tables and stools are available. Outdoors so harbor view and walk around downtown Victoria is bonus.

Wanted some local seafood once we arrived in Victoria. Near the shore on a dock is Red Fish Blue Fish, a small little outdoor kitchen serving only seafood.

Appetizer: Fried pickles. Pickles cut into long slices and deep battered with a doughy crust.

Entree: Albacore tuna Tacones- seared albacore tuna with coleslaw and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Cod fish and chips- cod deep fried with freshly fried potatoes.

Enjoyed the atmosphere of sitting on the stools and tables attached to the deck while overlooking the ocean and enjoying my seafood.

This place is right on the water. Not much of seated area. Fish and chips delicious, the chips a little too salty but still very good. Fish cooked just right and its butter is crispy. We tried both cod and halibut.
Great place ;)

A favorite for visitors and locals alike. It is so popular you may have to queue for 20 minutes or more. We love their Halibut and Chips just incredible good and so fresh. The also have other things like fish tacos.

Have you ever had a desire to grab your lunch out of an old shipping container? Hop skip onto a rickety plank dock for a good bite? Well, you can, and I have, twice.
the last time I was here it was just gorgeous. Seems like the years gone by have really done a number to this place. The dock a bit worn and greasy, maybe due to all the people eating here. I am not pleased to find that the portion sizes has also changed. The fish batter a bit too greasy too. The excellent tartar sauce is still there though. The line up wasn't as painful either, probably because school is out (?) and it didn't seem busy at all.
Will have to investigate again.

Expensive for what you get but people seem to like the experience. Be prepared to wait for 30 minutes in the summer in a queue, then fight for a seat or eat on your lap. We used to eat here but now it's just too much trouble. Try the place above milestones. They have an outdoor burger place that is better value.

You have to do this, you must discover for yourself what the fuss is about. It is worth the wait every single time, plus it is the greenest restaurant in town. Ask them how they recycle everything.

ONE OF THE GREATEST PLACES FOR SEAFOOD, IF YOU LIKE WAITING IN LINE, THE OYSTER BURGER IS TO DIE FOR!

This is a fantastic fish taco stand in the inner harbour. At peak times there is usually a long line, so try to go just before or after traditional meal times.

Great for a burger and a beer. You can't get any closer to the ocean than this.

The best fish tacos I ever had, they were well worth it to stand in line for over 30 minutes!
