Varadero Holidays

On the northern coast of Cuba you will find Varadero, a strip of beach that has been developed like no other in recent years to make way for an onslaught of pre-packaged, all-inclusive vacations. Vacationers take advantage of the Caribbean sunshine here, heading out to the beach to partake in any one of many water sports offered here, like ... Read more
snorkeling, swimming, SCUBA diving, boating and fishing. For a change of pace, head out on a catamaran to Cayo Blanco – dolphins often sidle up to your boat and swim with snorkelers. Excellent Cuban food awaits every visitor at restaurants like La Vicaria, and some of the most luxurious (but also most expensive) hotels like Paradisus Varadero Resort and Iberostar Laguna Azul dot the coastline. Despite its plush grooming for tourism, don’t expect to learn much about the hermit of the western hemisphere as the all-inclusive vacation packages offer virtually no opportunity to see anything but arena y mar.

I had an amazing time in Varadero Cuba. The weather is perfect. The beach is the most beautiful I’ve seen. I went snorkeling as well. Fantastic!. The town has restaurants with great food

Beautiful beaches, life guarded, great fish dinners, lots of fresh fruit, If you are not a swimmer and don't enjoy sunning, you will not like Cuba. My husband and I loved it. We met some interesting people while visiting there.

You will see more of Germany than Cuba here: Varadero is Cuba's package holiday hotel hub. Everyone except for the staff at these hotels are foreigners.
The beaches, however, are exquisite. I did enjoy them. There are some "casa particulares" (private houses) that foreigners are allowed to stay at these days which is a cheaper and more interesting way to experience Cuba if you wish to stay in this lovely coastal resort town.

Such an amazing town with so much to offer! Shopping, cafes, tours and beaches all there! All basically on one street so it's easy to see it all. Very cool looking old buildings and houses that are still being used. Extremely safe and locals are so friendly!! Been going there for 2 weeks every yesr now for the past 8 years. Love it!

Varadero is a good place to stay if you are in Cuba. The beach is nice and there are things going on in the area at night if you want to go out dancing and have a drink. It is also a good location for a day trip to La Havana which is about 2 hours away by car. Many of the hotels will offer day trips to La Havana and I really recommend it as there are many things to see there.

The Cuban people are probably the warmest, kindest people I've ever met. But that was the only thing I liked about Varadero. Accommodation was mediocre, food was bland and unfortunately, we had rain most of the week we were there. Golf course was so so. Canadians everywhere.
