Set against a backdrop of historic buildings, Queen West has one of the trendiest shopping scenes in Toronto. Toronto’s Art and Design District boasts an extensive array of menswear, vintage, shoe stores and craft and sewing supplies. It’s a goldmine for the fashion-hungry! At night the neighbourhood offers lively patios and bars and a variety of live music ranging from roots to rock at internationally-renowned venues like the Cameron House, the Horseshoe and the Rex. Re-charge with food from around the world at unique restaurants and cafes that are often open late.

Queen West and now further west Queen West West (I know it's getting silly) however, there is a distinction. The further west you walk, the more art student friendly it gets. More galleries, cheaper coffee etc. A must visit for the young at heart.

Perfect shopping street for those looking for smaller and more independent stores. Plenty of thrift shops, mixed with record shops as well as large corporation stores as H&M and Urban Outfitters. My favorite shopping street in Toronto without a doubt. At the west side of Queen Street you'll also find MOCCA (Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art).

Honestly, there are very few streets in the world like Queen Street in Toronto. It is 17km long from East to West, and pretty much every step of the way you'll find good shopping, galleries, food, funky people and other interesting stuff. If you have one day to spend in Toronto, just start at Queen and Yonge and walk west. You will pass most of the city's main sights and will see the diversity that makes Queen Street awesome.

No idea what that statue has to do with Queen Street West. Yeah it's a Queen. Queen West is one of the main shopping areas in Toronto. Everything from mall stores to indie stores, art galleries, cafés, etc.

An eclectic place full of character, clothes, jewellery and creativity. Check out Cabaret for vintage ballgowns, Outer Layer for unusual gifts and Preloved for fashionable knitwear.

Fantastic shopping. Tons of boutiques-- I didn't mean to buy anything, but am so glad I came out here. I feel like everything that gets rave reviews from my wardrobe is from Toronto because of this neighborhood! Kinda hipster vibe, I'd equate it to the Mission district in San Francisco.

For those who have an afternoon free and great weather to walk by... I would HIGHLY suggest walking along Queen Street west. It's practically an outdoor mall.

Start at Yonge Street and walk west for as far as you like... it goes from City central at Toronto City Hall, to outdoor mall like by Spadina St, eventually it settles down into a more 'street like vibe' by the time you hit Bathurst.... For those who are up for walking further,... Walk all the way out to Dufferin St for the full experience.

Pick up a TTC day pass and jump on and off the streetcar and experience all those sections more quickly if you have less time and still want to shop and soak in the vibe.
