If you're a half-ape like I am, you might have some trouble finding this place. It's located in the same building as Maple Leaf Gardens. When you walk in, make a left and then follow the large signs on the walls that are hard to miss (I missed them). There's also an outdoor entrance, but I missed that too. The staff here is very friendly, but also very busy. Despite the crowds, they still manage to greet you with a smile and pamper you like royalty, which doesn't surprise me because it's definitely the kind of place that Prince Harry would spend the night. Its close proximity to sports bars, the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower make it a go-to place for tourists, professional athletes and people who look like news anchors. The rooms are clean and modern.

I can't say enough good things about the Le Germain brand. Both locations I've been to in Toronto have been top notch and completely different. While the other location looks more like an upscale ski lodge, the hotel at Maple Leaf Square looks like a posh lounge or club. The staff, as usual, are extremely nice and helpful.

The hotel is still in its infancy - it's only about 4 years old, so the design sense is completely up to date and very well done. The room was my own personal industrial loft. It was spacious but comfortable with the coolest pillows on the bed (it looks like a little zen rock garden but the rocks were squishy...). Complimentary buffet breakfast is served in a bright open room.

It's hard to beat the location if you plan on doing sight seeing too - it's literally across the road from the shiny new entrance to Union Station - linking you to the rest of the city. The main exterior and a lot of the interior of the station is under construction still, but you can't see it from the Maple Leaf Square entrance. You're also right across the street from the Air Canada Centre and a short walk away from the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower.

I had a great experience at this hotel. First I was impressed by the attention to detail in the decor, which is a little edgy, but in a stylish and sophisticated way. For example, the exposed black cement walls, or the dark hallways illuminated by glowing lights with apples on top that you can eat. The rooms had a lot to them, including a balcony to overlook the fantastic location.

If you’re a sports fan this is the place for you as it is right across the street from the Air Canada Centre where you can catch the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team or the Raptors basketball team. I wouldn’t be surprised if some athletes even stay at the hotel, I swore I caught some basketball players in the elevator.
It’s a fairly new hotel, only been open for four years, but this also means the staff are extra friendly and attentive in order to build a good reputation.

PHENOMENAL Boutique Hotel. The rooms from the entry level to the apartment suites are simply exquisite. The rooms are large, very tastefully appointed, with Canadian athletes hanging on the walls. 167 rooms, 8 floors, with the signature green apple in the hallways for guests to partake of. This location is within walking distance to The Rogers Centre, Maple Leaf Centre, CN Tower, South West on York, you can walk to the Harbourfront, North on York you can head into the city to the financial and entertainment district, and tons of restaurants and shopping.
