Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier is classy all the way. It's got this art-deco meets Japanese minimalist design, that I fell in love with. The lobby area is a pleasure to be in- don't miss the sunset view. Tokyo Tower and is gorgeous when the lights start coming on. There's a business center in the back corner of the lobby with a currency exchange machine- something you don't often find in hotels in Japan. They also have an awesome selection of maps and things to do/places to go pamphlets of the area. I really appreciated they try hard catering to non-Japanese guests in this way.

Directly across the street is one of Japan's most unique and must see shops. Don.k! (Donky Hote) It's got something for everyone from snacks to electronics to cosmetics and clothes- great for souvenirs. There was also a 'conbini' (convince store) on the ground floor next to the entrance. The immediate area has heaps of local eateries and some of Japan's premier label shopping a few stations away.

Mitsui Garden Hotel has a killer view of the city -- especially during the sunset hours. I'm not easily impressed by the city view but this one was different. The sky was clear, so we got to see Mt.Fuji between highrises in the orange-colored sunsetting sky. Not just the view -- rooms are also great, and the nightwear is a great touch!

The view from the lobby at sunset alone makes it worth staying here. Think Tokyo tower and Mt Fuji with an orange sky. Incredible sight. The highlight of my 3 days in Tokyo. In addition to that, Mitsui Garden has well-appointed but smallish rooms with a good desk, free WiFi, kettle / coffee. However there is no pool /sauna/ spa. Mitsui gets a healthy mix of Business people with a smattering of tourists on the weekend. Descent location in Ginzu, close to lots of designer shopping and restaurants. Mitsui is also suitable for smokers, as they have 2 designated floors with smoking rooms.

The rooms overlook the magnificent Ginza skyline. Rooms themselves are just as lush, with a sleek and elegant decor.

Located closer to Shimbashi station than Ginza, it's still in mix of Ginza and a business night life district. You're not too far from the eclectic mix of bars in Shimbashi catering to the masses of business people and travelers alike.

Check out the bar and restaurant on the 16F. The massage is a really good deal here too.
