Great apart-hotel type accommodation not too far from the more interesting areas of Tokyo. The room I stayed at were fairly large size for what you get in Japan. The staff was attentive and surprised me with an appreciation gift as I visited on my birthday.

Aside from the fact it's a bit out of the way, it's a great place if you're in town for more than a few days (think a few weeks) or have special dietary needs and prefer to do your own food prep.

With the kitchenettes, fitness room, laundry room and two supermarkets within 5 minutes walk, this is a great 'home away from home' type accommodation what will help cut the cost of your overall food budget. The rooms even include a sofa which converts into a pull out bed for when friends come to visit and need a place to crash as well.

The lobby and overall decor leaned towards a fun artsy/whimsical vibe that made the whole place almost feel like a playground or gallery of sorts. Could be good for families or groups of friends traveling together.

Citadines is one of those few rare hotels that tries to look more like an apartment than an actual hotel and it shows. The hotel features quite a few common amenities such as Wi-Fi and a gym and a few more not so common features such as a coin laundry, an electronic safe in each room, and an iron and steaming board. The rooms are also very spacious.
Upon entering you’ll see a very nice artistic lobby and the staff uniforms are all bright orange, but there are a few problems with this accommodation – the main one being that this is meant for people to stay more long term like a week or more and it is almost always fully booked. So if you want to stay here it’s highly recommended to book as far in advance as possible. The second problem is that the place is understaffed and just doesn’t have enough employees cover the amount of traffic that goes through it.

This is a cool, modern looking hotel that's about a twenty-minute walk from Shinjuku station or just a few minutes away from either Marunouchi or Toei Shinjuku stations. The gym is open twenty-four hours and there are kitchens in some of the rooms. The price and tone of this place are great for people who are in between visiting and living in the city. This place is a great choice for a short-term residence.

This is a really brightly colored hotel, you can see it from down the block because it's one of the only buildings with color on it in the area. Inside it's clean, the rooms are not that expensive, and they have everything that you may need for a longer stay like a gym, washer/dryer, and free wifi internet in the rooms.

I was surprised by the kitchens in the rooms, and they're not small. If you're a vegetarian or traveling with children and would like to do some simple cooking, this would be a nice hotel to stay at. The Citadines is a good value, and if I were staying in Tokyo for an extended period I would prefer the low key service at the Citadines to the level of service at some of the five star hotels.
