This hotel was quite nice. I liked it. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Though a business hotel, it didn't feel like it. It was clean and well kept in a quiet area set just off the street. The area itself is rather quaint with a few unique and quirky shops and restaurants nearby.

One of the things I liked about this hotel was that is was connected to the Lawson convenience store. That was handy! There were several travel resources (maps, guides, etc) in the lobby in English as well as other languages. For added security at night, the doors have an automatic lock and guests have to buzz the front desk in order to open the doors.

Local from Tokyo

Really convenient to Akihabara, and other top tourist spots such as Asakusa, and Ginza. Fairly modern in style as with this chain and well equipped with wifi, toiletries, TV, Tea and coffee etc. A good budget hotel with friendly staff with good English and a really friendly manner about them. You'll be made welcome here.

There's a convenience store attached which is 24 hours. The area has some fantastic bars and restaurants. I'd check out Akihabara at night which will be really lively with lights, bars, cosplay and maid cafes everywhere for the brave.

It might be a little tricky to find, but just look for the convenience store (Lawson at the time of writing) and it will be tucked away just behind it.

Mystays is a very functional and flexible accommodation. The hotel was originally designed to look more like an artsy apartment rather than an actual hotel which gives it more of a homey atmosphere. It also comes with a fairly decent amount of amenities such as parking, bicycle rental, massages, broadband internet, dry cleaning, ironing, suit presses, faxing, and photocopying.
The location has quite a few quant local shops and eateries and Asakusabashi Shrine is two stops down and Akihabiara Electric Town is also readily accessible. The prices are also fairly reasonable and both the location and amount of services make this an equally good place for both tourists and business travelers.

If all you need is a small, tidy and functional room to sleep in Tokyo, the MyStays Inn chain is like the IKEA of Japanese hotels. They've got several branches all over town, but this is one of the cheapest and least hectic. If you need a kitchenette, they've got a limited number of those kinds of studios available, too. They cost only slightly more, but you can save big money on eating out.
