if you stay only at the beach you waste your time, beautiful mountains, canyons,
it is realy worth the see the whole Island, The beaches in the southwest are big but not very nice, the canary Island with the most to "explore"

I enjoyed my 2 weeks stay here. We rented a car and went to the capital city Sta. Cruz. I suggest not to bebcaught during rush hour. Traffic was heavy. All in all a great getaway place to relax and enjoy.

Tenerife has something for everyone. Beautiful beaches, ecological explorations like Loro Park (famous for tropical birds) and Spain's highest peak, Mount Teide--a dormant volcano that you can travel up via cable car and witness an incredible aerial view of the island. Unlike other places in the Canary Islands, Tenerife is easily explored by car or with a "bono bus" ticket.

Great place for some winter sun and loads of spots of interest as well. Prefer the quiet life myself although the island does have a lively nightlife in Las Americas for those with the want. Plenty of quiet spots can be found if you know where to look and I really enjoy the warm winter weather.

Nice place, especially if you rent a car and drive around the scenic routes, however a bit tiny so you get the feeling that more than a week is too much..
