Top Tel Aviv hotels by interest

Lively nightclubs, trendy cafes, and ten miles of Mediterranean seafront: you’d be forgiven for thinking we were talking about St Tropez instead of Israel’s city by the sea. While Jerusalem boasts over 3000 years of religious history, Tel Aviv is all about living in the moment.

The only suit you’ll need in Tel Aviv is a bathing one. Locals like to keep things casual, whether they’re hitting the beach for a spot of sunbathing or hitting the nightclubs when the sun goes down.

Tel Aviv is growing fast. Every week brings a new art gallery, restaurant, or bar opening, and a few more reasons why TA is one of the coolest cities on Earth. There are a vast number of hotels in Tel Aviv, most of them clustered around the seafront. The only question is which neighbourhood to stay in.

The White City

One of the most picturesque neighbourhoods in Tel Aviv, the White City is known for its massive collection of Bauhaus buildings. Leafy boulevards, pavement cafes, and art galleries make it a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, and there’s no shortage of hotels. The centre of the neighbourhood is Rothschild Boulevard, an iconic street lined with banks, theatres, and high end restaurants.

The Port

It’s all about leisure in Tel Aviv’s port district. Wandering along the boardwalk you’ll find plenty to keep you amused, no matter the hour. During the day there are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants to explore and at night the area comes to life with an excellent array of clubs and live music venues: many of which are in converted warehouses which hark back to the port’s commercial past.

Neve Tzedek

It’s hard to believe that a century ago this upmarket neighbourhood was a gritty ghetto populated by Tel Aviv’s working and artist classes. It’s a charming little place, with pretty squares and gardens providing plenty of peaceful spots for contemplation. The fab Susan Dalal Center is where culture vultures flock to watch contemporary dance shows, while the abundant eateries offer low key nightlife.

Tel Aviv’s hippest quarter is known for its street art and bohemian attitude. Once a gritty industrial neighbourhood, the warehouses of Florentin have now been converted into independent boutiques, trendy apartments, and quirky bakeries. It’s an important district on the Tel Aviv nightlife scene too, with loads of hidden nightclubs and bars to discover amidst the maze of buildings and graffiti.
