Great spot on the water for tasty Seafood, Sushi and great Pub food. Lively scene. Great for lunch and dinner. Do not overlook their spot to grab very good breakfast sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, and sandwiches.

Great for dinner with friends, birthday dinners, night out dancing. You can definitely book a cabana and order bottle service for a poppin' night. They are also known for Sunday brunch. Love the atmosphere and the fact that is overlooking Tampa Bay.

Two years ago I visited Tampa for the very first time. Stayed at the Marriott and fell in love with, what is to me, a kind-of-chicagoish baby. I went to Jackson's twice during that visit... I have a picture of myself, Jackie O shades and mojito in hand sipping into a new sense of happiness. I fell so hard into love with the city that I decided to move. I have returned many, many times to Jackson's... at different times of the day... solo, with family, with friends... and it just keeps getting worse and worse. I don't know if they hold a contest and whoever is the most mediocre server, whoever is great at seeing things on the floor and not picking them up, whoever ignores a client and makes them wonder if they miraculously have become invisible is chosen on the spot and immediately hired. A Jacksonian dream come true of a server. Let me explain what I mean... I went for lunch twice and one time I asked the lady the waiting time---no greeting--"20 minutes" she snobbily answered as if she might do me the favor of putting a good word for me and get me into heaven. I nodded. I sat on one of the big chairs in front of her with my son... time kept passing, it actually flew by because I was so amused by her attitude towards all the businessmen who were part of a huge convention. I wondered if she had any teeth that might help her smile, perhaps, and only once in while, just a little... a tad more than Mona Lisa. After 35 minutes of me seating right in front of her... I returned humbly to her and reminded her of her "20 minute" answer. She seemed rather shocked. Because I had never uttered the words "I want to wait, please, oh goddess of sushi, write my name on your list" she had assumed that I was not going to wait and eat with them... Lte me not get into the pun with the use of the word "assume'... I guess she must have thought that because the service is so outstanding at the place I just felt like hanging around their chairs and mingle with myself. I left.
But I am a sucker for masochism and friends came to visit from far away and they wanted to go there since I live at walking distance. I humored them. Felt that it was a chance to, perhaps, make myself believed that the other episode was a figment of my imagination. So we did return... and this time we were seated, or... we decided to seat ourselves at one of the bar tables. Eventually someone noticed we were there... it only took about ten minutes. The place was empty... it was just us... but no one had noticed us. The food came... and it is good food. Some days it is great food, others it might be excellent food if your stomach was not filled with the gastric acid the service has caused you. I went for a drink another night. The place was packed for a Tuesday NIght.... what a gold mine of a location... again... the bartender was entering her numbers, she had about ten papers on her hand... never said hello until my sigh was heard. She told me "I will be with you in a minute".... she kept entering her numbers into the computer (giving her back to me)...and ten minutes or so later she asked for my order... but I was not alone, I actually bonded with fellow bar outcasts who felt as I did... and we giggled about it. There was an order of chicken wings for another table that took forever to get to them...and just as the server was about to deliver it, the whole plate fell on the floor... gasping happened. The elocuent silence spoke and cursed. And you know what is most amazing? She picked it up.... threw it in a trash can nearby and did not bother to clean the sauce off the floor. I actually told my amicable bartender that she needed to have that clean out for safety and health issues... the manager (not a chirpy fellow) came and wiped it off with a towel. Never a mop came by there, even when it was right by the bar. There was a table of about 15 people celebrating something. Their order kept coming separately... some ate first and shared their with the starved, and some later... three different shifts of food.... It saddens me that such a beautiful place with so much potential.... has so little pride. They say that part of falling in love is admiration... Jackson and I have broken up.
