It’s an iconic building in Taipei. I went there before to see it. If you’re looking to take a picture of the exterior, you better go to the elephant mountain to get a better shop. Taipei 101 is a shopping mall - there’s some renowned brands here. There’s an observatory deck on top which you can pay for to get in. There’s a food court downstairs if you’re hungry.

Pretty pricey, but the ride up in the world’s fastest elevator is cool and the views are great if you are lucky with the weather. My favorite part was actually learning about the logistics of the building itself and the use of a giant damper — it’s rare that these are visible to the public. I lucked out and had zero line to get to the elevator around noon on a Saturday, but I get the sense that isn’t usually the case.

Taipei 101 - a famous landmark supertall skyscraper in Taipei. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest in 2004

If it is your first time you visiting Taipei..... highly recommended to pay a visit at Taipei 101!! It is a world class building~ When

Lots of high end shops from floor to floor!!

NT$500 to the observatory floor (89F). The FASTEST elevator in record~

When the weather is nice and the sky is clear, you can see beautiful view of Taipei and mountains surrounded the city.

Lots of picture opportunity!!

There is gift shop selling all the souvenir. They also sell snacks, ice-cream and beverages.

They also offer audio tour and give you more history about Taipei.

There is no time limited how long you can stay up at the observatory floor, so take your time and enjoy the view!!

P.S. We went around 5pm and stay up till 7pm. We got to see the day time view and also the sunset view. Gorgeous!!

Once, the tallest building in the world. From the outlook, you can tell Taipei 101 is an unique place. The observation deck is the best place to look down the city. (go up there when it's clear!) Just like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Taipei 101 is worth visiting at least once if you are in Taipei.

Gotta go as it was the world's highest tower until taken over by Burj Kalifa. Luxury stores and a great food court. Would be good if they had a selection of high end and other stores..better selection at Mitsukoshi down the street.

It was amazing! There is one floor where you can see all around because of windows... Then...higher up... is an observation deck! The observation deck is beautiful... and you can see all around... to the leafy green mountains...and the high buildings! It was an experience Iv enjoyed during my trip to Twain!

For the admission ticket of the observation deck:
Standard Ticket: NT$400 (US$13.30)..defiantly worth a visit!

This used to be the tallest building in the world. Now it's the fifth tallest. They have many levels of shopping. The food court is on the bottom floor and the 89th floor is the observation deck.

Taipei 101 really needs no introduction. At one point the tallest building in the world, it is still the undisputable symbol of modern Taipei.

Taipei is a must see if you're going to Taiwan. The lower floors are mostly luxury stores with a large food court on the bottom floor, and on the top you can see a view of Taipei. Taipei 101 prides itself being one of the tallest green buildings in the world.

The tallest green building in the world and the former tallest building in the world, Taipei 101 is a big tourist draw. The buildings unique architecture is worth seeing. On a clear day the view must be amazing, unfortunately was cloudy when I was there. Cost to go up to the observatory is about $15. The elevator is the fastest in the world! The bottoms floors are a high end mall so also a good destination for luxury travelers looking for designer shopping.
