Heymarket is a place where you can cheap goods and clothes and almost every things . China town located in heymarket .

Darling Harbour its the favorite place for a tourist. Many cafes and restaurants and clubs . Perfect for a family during the day until midnight, after that it’s become full of drunk people.
They do a firework every Saturday night “around 9 pm”

I prefer walking around for the vibe as the restaurants are full of tourists and can be a pain.

Darling Harbour reminds me of a Fisherman's Wharf area, with nice hotels and scenic views of docked sail boats. Lots of restaurants and night life around this touristy area.

Have been to darling harbour many times and it's still amazing every time I go. Awesome museums and zoo type places which makes it awesome for families but once night hits it's party city

It's a lovely place to spend, day or night. There are a bunch of places to eat and a park that both children and adults love to play in. Perfect for date nights and there are many occasion where there are fireworks over the harbour.

It's hard to avoid these places because both are located in the heart of Sydney CBD. This is an area that provides almost everything that would give a pleasure. When Darling Harbour offers various choices of great meals along with the lovely atmosphere of the Cockle Bay, Haymarket does offer various delicious and cheaper foods. When Darling harbour provides so many attractions and entertainments, there is a nice cheaper market in Haymarket.

I loved how easy it was to ferry around to all of the local harbors. Darling Harbor has great food spots and a fun aquarium that is way larger than it appears from the outside. I highly recommend a visit here and to use the ferries for transporation.

Darling Harbour runs along the western edge of the CBD. The heart of it is a rambling parkland edged with museums, exhibition and convention centres, restaurants and retail. The children's playground is amazing, but prepare for your kids to get wet. They love it.

Darling Harbour's got nothing on Sydney Harbour! Home to a number of fun attractions, mostly catered to family travel, its location next to the city's CBD attracts a large number of tourists every day. Perhaps the most noteworthy are the WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, SEA Life Sydney Acquarium and Madame Tussaud's.

A one-stop entertainment destination, Darling Harbor contains restaurants, shops, museums, an IMAX theater and the Sydney Aquarium. Fun for the whole family! I especially recommend checking out the Powerhouse Museum while you're there. Focused on science & design, they always have fascinating exhibits! Then stop at one of the many cafes and enjoy an up-close view of the Sydney skyline. As you walk south from the Darling Harbor area be sure to drop by Paddy's Market, next to Chinatown. Bursting with stalls selling every souvenir imaginable, as well as food and clothes, it's worth a look.

Redeveloped former dock area containing a rather dated shopping centre that I understand was due for demolition. Sadly the monorail has already gone that way.

For a tourist area there are plenty of non-corny things for locals to do too. Also nicely free to people hawker giant ballons or tourist bobbles along the walk way. The Harbourside mall is a nice alternative to the somewhat chaotic Paddy's Market. The restaurants are overpriced but the open air food court is a great bet for families or traveling groups. View + free seating + decently priced and varied food selection. IMAX theater looks good too and the walk to the Chinese garden is a fun one for the kiddos. chinta ria, meat & wine as well as zafraan are all good eateries around the area

Home to the Wildlife Zoo (not Taronga), the aquarium, and a whole bunch of restaurants and museums. I started my visit to Sydney at 7am in Darling Harbour, where I visited the wildlife center and walked all over the waterfront to get acquainted. It's perfect for strolling and leisurely activities.

Darling Harbour is beautiful and has a lot of great restaurants and shopping; however, I felt like a lot of the attractions were unreasonably overpriced simply because of their location in the harbor. I would definitely take the time to walk through this area, but I wouldn't recommend eating or drinking here unless you want to spend a lot of money.

Adjoining Sydney's Chinatown (not as exciting as some other worldwide Chinatowns, but still a great place to eat), the horrifically touristy environs of Darling Harbour are nonetheless lovely, particularly at night when the lights are out, or for visiting the pleasant Sydney Aquarium. Restaurants here tend towards the overpriced, but the atmosphere is great, and this southern finger of the massive Sydney Harbour is nice enough that you're willing to forgive its faults, at least for an hour or two.

Good place to bring your family if you have kids. Shops and restaurants, lots of outdoor stuff. But better for summer and usually pretty busy. Sometimes they have fire works shows here for occasions like Australia Day, so check their website before you go.
