as an arena for city celebrations. It is a short walking distance from both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and is home to Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art. Stroll along the quay's busy walkway full of restaurants, shops and cafes, then hop on one of its many ferries to explore another side of the harbor.

Circular Quay is a busy transpirt hub, iffering regular ferries to varioys locations across Sydney Harbour. It's also a great place to embark on your iwn tour if the city. Walk down the main primenade and you will find an array of people - from tourists to street performers and Aboriginal buskers playing the didgeridoo.

It's a nice place around the Sydney Harbour. Lots of stores and such; however, if you're looking for souvenirs, I wouldn't buy it here as it's pretty much a tourist trap. You can get the same things in Paddy's near Darling Harbour for MUCH cheaper.

The busiest point of Sydney's huge harbour, Circular Quay is a great place to head to on a sunny day. Walk up the steps to the Opera House or around to the base of the bridge or just spend hours lounging on the benches or grassy areas around the quay. While there is of course no cost in visiting this area, the bars and cafes around it are not always cheap, if you get hungry or thirsty there and don't want to break the bank, i would recommend heading south onto George Street and the surrounding roads where cheap cafes and bars are plentiful.

Homes to so many top destinations in Sydney. One could not resist what Circular Quay offers; the landmarks of Sydney, museums, a gate to Taronga Zoo, and few beaches around Sydney. A hard-to-miss place.

Every weekend, just around the corner from Circular Quay in an area known as The Rocks, is a vibrant open-air market filled with local artists selling jewelry, crafts and yummy produce. You can pick up some pretty unique souvenirs and then hit up one of the great restaurants nearby. Or just stroll the cobblestone streets and window shop the many boutiques. Great for a Sunday afternoon!

Right in the heart of Sydney this entertainment district is the place to be. Chalked full of cool restaurants and places to grab a drink - the setting is cool and the vibe is cooler.

Circular Quay (pronounced "key") is the main dock area for ferries and tour boats in Sydney Harbor. It's a great spot to watch street performers or just listen to seagulls squawk serenely overhead. There are some limited food options here that you can visit before you board your boat.

Is Circular Quay a tourist hell? Of course. But compared to other waterfront spots like San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, Circular Quay still manages to come off as a beautiful spot. Tourists or no, with the spectacular Opera House and Harbour Bridge as a constant backdrop, it's a hard place not to like.

One of the prominent areas in the city, Circular Quay is the action-packed stretch between the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Museums, restaurants, walkways and promenades, and the tourism center fill this "key," and you could easily spend the entire day just walking around and soaking up Sydney culture.

The transport hub for the central business district. You can get buses around the city from here, including the free tourist bus, and ferries around the harbor, including to Manly, the zoo, and across to Milsons Point. There are street performers here on the weekends, and there are a myriad of sites to see in the surrounding area, including the rocks, and the Opera House.

Circular Quay is beautiful at night. If you want to stroll around the harbour, take in the sights around Ciculary Quay. You'll enjoy all the lights, the serenity, and the city itself.

We hired a water taxi from Darling Harbour for a 2 hour tour. Our first stop was Circular Quay. Love the hustle & bustle of this place with many attractions, speedboats, malls, restaurants besides the Opera House.
It has great views of Harbour Bridge and is a short ferry ride to Manly, Watsons Bay, Mosman and Taronga Park Zoo.
Having a cuppa by the harbour and watched the world pass you by....hmmm charming.

Circular Quay is THE tourist spot when visiting Sydney. Be sure to walk up the Opera House steps, turn around and see a beautiful view of the Sydney skyline. And if you're feeling extra adventurous, I recommend the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. Now THAT is the best view of the city.

The place to go to get a ferry all around town. I didn't realize before I left that Sydney was totally on the water. I would have to say that a commute by ferry would definitely beat being stuck in traffic. It can be a bit confusing when you are looking for a particular ferry, so don't be afraid to ask and make sure you don't end up on the completely opposite side of town!
