This is the famous spot in the Rocks for kangaroo pizza. I'm just going to leave that right there. Up to you if you want to try it! They have crocodile pizza too...

The Australian Heritage Hotel is a Sydney institution. With two bars inside, both full of taps, they have a great selection of Australian craft beers on tap, including two of their own - the Scharer's Bock and Scharer's Lager (Also slightly cheaper than the other beers). They make great personal sized pizzas, even if they are a bit expensive. Top it with kangaroo or crocodile for a real Aussie flavor.

I instantly liked this super-cute traditional pub-style hotel in the Rocks. Laid-back, low-key and friendly, I loved having the harbour at stumbling distance just down the hill, and an experience doesn't get much more Aussie than staying in a pub. Rooms are super-cute B&B style, smallish and no-frills but comfortable, and though all the bathrooms are shared, it's a tiny place and there are five showers, so never a queue. The building is more than a hundred years old, and if you're still hungry after the included continental breakfast (served in the old-style parlour upstairs) the pub downstairs does great pizzas with tons of beers on tap.

If you're looking for a classic experience in Sydney's oldest neighborhood, The Rocks, look no further than the Australian Heritage Hotel. This is the only place to be on ANZAC Day and every other day of the year. They offer the oddest pizzas in town, with toppings like crocodile and kangaroo. The Australian's beer list is full of craft selections, like Little Creatures Bright Ale, Beez Neez and Vale Ale.

This is one of the first bars I went to in Sydney and I loved it! They serve Kangaroo Pizza, basically kangaroo meat so it is worth a try! They have a lot of good bar food which is decently price given the location it is in. It's a great place to hang out and lounge around.

When is a pub more than just a pub? When it’s the Australian Heritage hotel of course. This pub / hotel has beer, a lot of beer, and it also has a lot of avid fans. Very popular amongst locals and tourists alike you’d find to hard to feel lonely in this place. The hotel is perched on top of The Rocks so its location gets big thumbs up in itself. The rooms are no-frills B&B style with a touch of country (i.e. wooden beds and cupboards) and are an affordable alternative to other hotels in the same area. If you need more than beer hops to fill your cake hole then I suggest you sample not just one but two or more of the quite infamous pizzas. If you love your sleep then I suggest you take earplugs because those avid fans downstairs aren’t going to leave anytime soon!

Located in the historic Rocks district of Sydney, this rustic renovated hotel has a vintage vibe with a lively bar crowd. Pizza is their specialty, as evidenced by their vibrant meat, seafood, and vegetarian selections (if you're feeling adventurous, channel your inner Aussie with the Pepper Kangaroo or the Salt Water Crocodile). Wash down with the seemingly endless selection of drafts from across the continent (no Fosters in sight), and you'll probably be pondering seconds, or dessert. The nutella and banana dessert pizza on flaky filo dough will do.

Having worked on the design of this place I have seen too much. It's an amalgamation of several buildings, recently renovated and stylishly revamped. In he heart of the Rocks on the edge of circular quay it's in the middle of tourist central.
