As Australia’s most cosmopolitan city, Sydney attracts a huge variety of travelers and immigrants. Stretching along the coast facing the Tasman Sea, Sydney strikes a stark image between modern and Victorian buildings and a seaside vacation retreat. Pristine beaches, great sports venues and a multitude of cultural events make Sydney a fantastic place for foreign visitors looking for a taste of Australia. Popular attractions include the Sydney Olympic Park (host of the 2000 Summer Olympics), the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the iconic Sydney Opera House. Follow the crowds to Bondi Beach, rated one of the best in the world, or leave terra firma entirely for a whale watching tour or scenic flight. Sydney's cuisine benefits heavily from the ... international flair of this relatively new city, as foodies flock to Chinese, Thai, Indian, Tuscan or fusion restaurants across the city. Hotels in downtown Sydney can run on the expensive side, but good public transportation makes neighborhood B&Bs and hostels a great option.
Boasting over 300 days of sun per year and temperatures that rarely get too hot or too cold, Sydney is a city with no bad time to visit. The biggest crowds come during summer (December - February), especially for the many big events that take place during the season (Harbour Day, Sydney Festival, Australia Day), so if you want to snag a deal and avoid the throngs of tourists, try to plan a trip for spring (September - November) or fall (March - May).

The tourist center of Australia is a place that can't be missed. Beaches, museums, food and everything in between lends itself to anyone and everyone.

Most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Darling harbour is the best place for me!

If you're looking for Gold Coast holiday rentals, I highly recommend the Phoenician Resort at Broadbeach. We had such an amazing family holiday there, that wife and I have rebooked for a weekend away, just for us. Can't wait!

Sydney is probably the most famous city in Australia. Therefore it's expensive and full of tourists but you will definitelly get amazed and the city has great atmosphere.

Thanks to the Phoenician Resort, my boss thinks I'm a genius! At the very last moment he decided to attend an event at the Convention and Exhibition Centre and asked me to arrange Broadbeach accommodation. I solved the problem by booking an apartment at the Phoenician, just 100m from the event!

Undeniably beautiful, clean, modern and vibrant, Sydney is a city nestled in a pocket of south-east Australia's coast that balances space and ambiance with the addictive, lively bustle of city life.

When you're looking for Gold Coast holiday accommodation Broadbeach apartments are the best. We always stay at the Phoenician, as it has everything we need, it's close to the beach and the shops, and just a short drive from the theme parks. It's perfect!

Bold and beautiful ... such as big leap from smaller populated city of Perth, here in Sydney they are international competitive in city hospitality and tourism. The mere fact that there's such a big population offers so many choices to wine, dine, and go places ... wonderful

I thought Sydney was a nice place to explore but pretty pricey. It's clean and modern. Pretty much like SF but without all the homeless people.
