Bardur was a half man-half troll who both named and protected the Snaefellsnes Peninsula according to the sagas. A huge statue was built in his honor in Akranes. Even more impressive is the Cliff Viewpoint walk that extends along the coast. Grab fish and chips at the Munch Wagon food truck after exploring.
