and currently featuring "Star Trek: The Exhibition." The STSC has over 750 exhibits and after the merger with Clayton's Museum of Science and Natural History in 1983, the facility received its current name. The addition of IMAX in 1991, the Exploradome in 1997 and the Community Science Resource Center rounded out the 9 building complex that has clusters of buildings on each side of Interstate 40. The facilities are open daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the Star Trek exhibition open until 7 PM Saturdays only.

Wow! Super fun, learning environment. My fiance and I made parachute men and sail boats to see who's preformed better. The kids weren't bored for a second, none of them!

Nice activity center, went to see the Apollo 11 exhibit. It was well worth the visit and activity. The parking cost was a little high at 10 dollars but the activity cost was fine.

It’s a great, free, family fun science center. It is more suited for younger kiddos but it’s fun.

Neat experimental stations- I recommend going on a flight simulator! We went on the snow adventure one but others give you a bunch of spinning moves like in a jet fighter- not for the faint of heart! Have fun!
Science center is free admission but there are costs to do the special things along the way.

Great place for kids and adults. They had a lot of different things to do. We only did the free stuff and it was very cool. Make sure to take the bridge to the space center!

Very fun place! I would highly recommend getting a membership for those who live around here. The I max theater is amazing and the events they have at the planetarium are wonderful!

Fun and educational for gradeschool and above. Great place to spend a day with the family. Parking is reasonable. Admission is free. There is a fee for extra activities such as the IMAX movie.

An animatronics T-Rex, life-size, roars at a Triceratops robotic dinosaur…the digitized sound reverberates through the atrium entranceway. Elsewhere, a simulation twister is forming while an earthquake shakes the floor. Originally founded in ’63 as a planetarium, today’s science center is interactive: the Human Adventure exhibit offers brain challenges with vision, hearing and memory games; Amazing Science Demonstrations explores light, energy and gravity; the fabulous specimens in the new Pacific Coral Reef Aquarium delight young and old alike. For me, I enjoy the hands-on experiments, like trying to reconstruct the Arch from foam blocks. The trick is placing that final wedge before it topples over.

There are so many better things to see in St. Louis. If you've ever been to a science museum in a major city, you've seen something far better than this. We saw a sad outdated exhibit on the computer, poorly kept up and tiny dinosaur section, etc. utter waste of time

Very nice museum. A good mix of things for adults and children. The IMAX theater is great and the planetarium is very relaxing.

Very educational place for kids of any age, and parents as well. I would highly recommend to watch an Omnimax movie here and try use a segway - lots of fun.

This is a fantastic place to take your children and explore the wonderful world of science. If you love dinosaurs, or they simply intrigue you, plan on visiting. Even as a local I still enjoy going on a regular basis.

This is one of the few museums that my children have really engaged and really learned at. The price is right, free. They liked and learned a lot at the Lego Mindstorm event ($3 per person). It is offered several timesa day. Tickets from the front desk are required.
