This is a great area of St, Louis and should be on your list for places to check out. Just the amount of great homes that are in this area plus museums and the zoo.

Beautiful, huge open green space with lots of trees and space to enjoy a gorgeous day. This is also where the art museum, history museum, Muny, and zoo are located which allows for lots of activities. The boathouse is a cute place to grab lunch and paddle boat! Art hill is an excellent place for a picnic, and the fountains are fun for a quick cool-down on a hot day. One of my favorite places to spend a nice day in St. Louis

Forest Park is a National gem. Having lived in St Louis for 3 years, there is no place I would rather spend down time. Walking, biking, racquet balling, concerts, golf, ....it doesn't end. Fantastic place to spend your time.

Forest Park's annual Shakespeare in the Park is a treat for the senses. This year's rollicking production of Midsummer Nights Dream is no exception. Nothing better than the Bard's work under the stars. Great cast and creative staging. Arrive early.

Larger than NYC’s Central Park by over 500 acres, this 1371-acre tract of land welcomes twelve million visitors annually. They come to visit its attractions, most of which are free: the zoo, the science center, the history museum, the art museum, and the opera. This urban playground for children and adults alike provides opportunities for picnicking, hiking, bicycling, baseball, tennis, golf, and roller skating. Even in wintertime, brush the snow off a park bench and sit near the Grand Basin; watch ducks skittering across the patches of ice.

This giant greenscape is beautiful and scenic, and has plenty for you to do. It houses the zoo, the art museum, and the basin, a giant outdoor amphitheater that usually has some concerts going on. Plenty of trails to run and bike as well.

An ongoing $100 million restoration project is sprucing up Forest Park, with projects that include the renovation of the Jewel Box, an Art Deco greenhouse and event space. The former host site of the 1904 Summer Olympics and World’s Fair now contains a zoo, art and history museums, and a science center. Join one of the regular bird walks for the chance to see wild turkeys, great horned owls, and more of the 100-plus species that have been documented here.
