Stunning National Park in Maine on Mt Desert Island near Bar Harbor. It's beautiful and is great for families as well as fans of water sports. Just be mindful of the traffic.

Acadia is absolutely a must while you're visiting Maine. The unfortunate thing is that there is so much to see and do in this region, that most people don't have available time in their schedule. Be sure to visit the visitor's center -- they'll help with "what to see in limited time"

2 hours from the cabin, a wonderful area that offers ocean views and lobster feeds and great shopping. Close enough that you can experience all Maine offers, our Ocean and woodland lifestyle.

A wonderful park along the coast of Maine. I had the pleasure of visiting in early October, so it made for beautiful fall foliage and much smaller crowds. If you plan your timing just right, the park can really be peaceful and serene.

So many amazing hikes -- in all the years I've been visiting Acadia with my family, we've only had wonderful experiences. The only problem can be finding parking, and for that, you just have to plan your arrival times well.

Acadia National Park offers endless hiking and biking trails. If you love the outdoors and a beautiful setting, this is the vacation spot for you. Drive through the park and experience the most beautiful views that exist. Stop along the way to sit on the shoreline to take in the scene. Walk the shore to find sea treasures. If you are active and like to bike or hike, Acadia offers endless miles of groomed carriage trails. Acadia hosts several mountains to climb. Certainly, Acadia National Park is the main attraction in Bar Harbor.

This is a must include when visiting the area. Hike, bike or drive about in Acadia National Park and then add a quick trip to downtown Bar Harbor for an ice cream at the end of the day. You will cherish memories made there.

Visited with a friend over Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful, sprawling park with tons to explore and see. The landscape is stunning and green this time of year, though shockingly cold! Be prepared and pack/dress appropriately!

Not much to add except 3 million visitors a year can't be all wrong. 45 minutes from Blue Hill.

Acadia National Park (ANP) has many entrances, because park lands and town lands are co-mingled throughout Mount Desert Island. Visit ANP Visitor Center to get all the information to access the park fully. However, you can hike, swim, and ride bikes on the Carriage trails without going through a park entrance.

Acadia National Park is part of the US National Park Services Park Units. It is area that Vice President Rockefeller was born and help create and preserved the area. It is home to many nature, hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing areas. There are also horseback and horse carriage rides. Disability Access and disability parking is depending what activities you choose. Time to visit the park is depending what activities your choose, but allow about 3 days to visit the area and sites.

Located north of Portland, Acadia National Park is filled with great hiking trails that take you to granite peaks, flower-filled meadows, and rocky shorelines. You'll also find good biking trails and a couple reliable campsites too. If camping isn't your thing, there are a handful of small hotels and B&Bs nearby too.
