built near the base. The volcano ash is what colours the waters and the sulphuric content of the water makes it quite good for the skin. You can hire a guide to walk you up the viewing point above the crater and see where the hillside once stood that was blown away by an eruptions years ago.

Constant bubbling volcanic activity. Not to miss is the mud scrub and the therapeutic water of the mineral springs. Wear a black swim suit.

It was a great little trip. The waters were quite warm. I loved the little trinkets that were on sale. The water sulfurous waters were interesting.

I have been to St Lucia twice, and I always find this as the most memorable experience. If you have never taken a dip in a volcanic spring before, you must do this here. Just be prepared for the stinky sulfur smell (it did clear my sinuses though!)

Smells so so bad so be prepared for that. However its quite amazing if you like that kind of thing and the guides know a lot. There are also mud baths which u can go into and ive been told they are very good for skin.

It's hard to get TOO excited about a sulfur spring. But we were looking for an adventure and it fit the bill. During our day tour we spent some time here walking the trails / paths and enjoying the view of the volcano. It's a pretty active site considering it's suppose to be just sulfur vents. The trails were entertaining too... we only had maybe 1 or 2 hours, but it would've been fun to hike some more. It wasn't that type of trip, nor that type of tour... but it could've easily been so if we weren't on a schedule.
