Harbour from Valletta. The town began to develop rapidly in the early 20th century as a summer resort for wealthier Valletta residents. Their elegant villas and town houses line the quiet, inland streets. The Sliema promontory offers on one side stunning views across to Valletta and on the other, open sea views.

Sliema is a nice area to stay, much more reasonable accommodations and it’s just 10-15 mins ferry ride across from Valletta.

You can find an area with cool roman baths, basically a big rock cut into 10 different small pools in front of a beach club.
