Singapore's most graceful landmark now has a shopping arcade, romantic courtyards and a Victorian styled theatre. Singapore's history and how Singapore was found and ruled by British.

One of the oldest hotel in Singapore. Very interested architecture. Attended a wedding there~ You should at least have a signature drink in the garden..

If you have the chance to stay here, you'll be treated like a British colonial (at least that's what I would imagine). There is something charming about this old British colonial style hotel in the middle of the melting pot of Asia.

Man... I feel bad that I dont like a lot of these places in singapore. At least places that dont involve food. And unfortunately I dont remember the names of a lot of places with food. But I do remember that this building was dope looking even with it being a total tourist spot and hundreds of tourists blocking the entrance view taking pictures. I had to cut though them to get to the bar... for, you guessed it, their alleged "original" singapore sling. hahahaha

I was really impressed by the Raffles Hotel Museum. As a child I lived in Hong Kong and we always heard about Singapore from others who had been there, so I knew a fair bit about Sir Stamford Raffles and how Singapore was founded. The Museum was great - it told the story of Singapore from scratch to modern day, which was very informative. I can highly recommend a visit - you don't need too long to go round the museum, but combined with a visit to Raffles Hotel it makes an excellent afternoon out.

Nice historic hotel but I would stay away from the famed afternoon tea at the Tiffin Lounge and having a Singapore sling at the famous Long bar. Both of these landmarks are overpriced and populated with a definitely more mature, less sophisticated touristy crowd.

Not bad - it's air conditioned and it has clean bathrooms. Don't make a special trip unless you happen to be across the street shopping at Raffles City and just want to see this grand dame hotel.

The Raffles Hotel Museum tries a little too hard to cater to tourists, but it's still charming. I would suggest you go to the bar outside and order the Singapore Sling. Supposedly, this is where the Singapore Sling originated from. The bar allegedly makes well over a thousand a day.

I guess I'd give the Raffles a 4 star. Having stayed a few places in Singapore ... I guess I expected a bit more from the iconic hotel. It's a bit of the old world charm that makes this place great, but at the same time my experience was a bit underwhelming for a luxury hotel. Maybe I just stayed on an off day, but the staff, service, and overall feel just wasn't the same as other high end hotels that I've stayed at in the past. Still a great place to check out none the less.

A well-known hotel that I have never stayed but visited many times. There is an exhibition related to Somerset Maume in a small museum.
