the 1960s. Old shops and tea houses fill the neighborhood, offering a representation of the diversity of the Chinese people. Its buildings are influenced by Baroque and Victorian styles, and several sections of Chinatown are designated as heritage sites. The district today isn’t as densely populated as it once was, especially true as the Chinese now settle elsewhere, becoming the largest ethnic group in Singapore.

Vibrant part of Singapore that hosts a mix of small shops/stands selling souvenirs and food. It is right next to a couple beautiful temples and is a great place to wander around.

Very busy, very colourful. Head to historical ‘Chinatown complex’ upstairs is the food/restaurants the middle is the goods market (shirts, bags, electronics etc) & downstairs is the food market. Very helpful information kiosk too. Food is great & cheap

A great place to walk around for the day if tourists have booked one or two more days in Manchester than is absolutely necessary. By the third day, we were running out of things to do and this was a great way to spend our day, however bad the weather was!

Beautiful gardens.the flower dome as well as the rain forest dome are worth seeing. There is an audio tour available for 8 dollars which takes you around in the garden in a van. The musical show at evening at the trees is worth watching.

Cultural diversity in Chinatown is still present, different ethnic groups seem to be in a different street or area, which is a way is great for a foodie like me.

recommendation: most people only walk around the first floor, but this is a multi function floor temple complex and many more to see upstairs. ask for where the lifts are they are a bit hidden

Full of food and cheap goods. The atmosphere was nice, and the local people there seems kind. Not the place to hang out all day with, because there's not much to see or visit.
