Anchorage

It gets a little crowded on the weekends but you shouldn't miss this beautiful little village perched on the clifftops overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The houses are painted blue and white and the doorways are exquisite. The main street is filled with souvenir vendors and cafes but walk up a side street and it becomes quieter. A convenient but slow suburban train goes here from Tunis.

Foster City

Blue city located about just north of Carthage historical site near Tunis. It reminded me a lot of Ibiza and Mykonos in Greece.

Beautiful small city in Tunisia, not far from the capital, that well deserves a visit. The best part is located on the hills, where all buildings are white with doors and windows painted in blue; cobbled streets and hibiscus flowers pouring off gardens. It simply is a must visit.

Not what I expected to see in North Africa at all. This was a little piece of Greece in Tunis. Lovely and lively would be the simple way to put it. The walls of all the homes and shops are white stone and the windows and doors are blue. The area is filled with tourists shops, restaurants, and cafes with sea views. I wouldn't suggest doing any shopping here as everything is over priced for tourists. But it was definitely fun to browse the shops and have traditional Tunisian tea in one of the cafes.

Stunning seaside town that is a million miles away from more hectic Tunis. When the cruise ships dock, it can be overwhelmed but the moment they leave it returns to its tranquil charm. White stucco, gorgeous blue doors, great food and perfect views of the sea. Worth a trip to Tunisia in its own right.
