Great location for the brewery! If you're into the maltier beer, go with the Kilt Lifter. Plenty of swag to take home too! I took home a growler for my homebrews!

Really cool brewery and bar just round the corner from Pike Place Market. There is an extensive selection of beer here to suit all tastes and there is also food and a small museum.

If you are heading to a show at Showbox Market, this place is a must stop. It is less than a block from the famous music venue and features great food and big selection of beer on tap. One of my favorites!

The Pike Brewing Company – on the southern end of the vast Pike Place Market campus is family-owned, provides a campy, locavore setting to enjoy unique and often exotic brews (including Pike Pale Ale, Pike IPA, Naughty Nellie, Space Needle IPA, Kilt Lifter, Monk’s Uncle, and XXXXX Stout along with seasonal offerings such as Harlot’s Harvest, Old Bawdy, Auld Acquaintance, Derby Lager, Saison Houblon, and Octopus Ink. Their menu varies but I like it: local, sustainable and seasonal pub fare.

A fun place to go and taste some delicious beer brewed in Seattle. They also serve pub fare.

Okay spot for a local brew, but not really an overly inviting environment, feels a little like an amusement park inside.

It's always a good sign when I walk into a location to have a drink on a whim and the entire place is filled with happy people enjoying spirits. My friend and I happened to wander in and catch happy hour. The beer that is brewed here is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great as well. A must try: the dungeness crab and artichoke dip and any of the local beers with a pour of Woodinville Rye Whiskey!

It seems that every time I come to Seattle (which isn't very often), I end up at the Pike Brewing Company. The first time must have been over 10 years ago after coming back from a business trip in Anacortes. So these guys must be doing something right to still be standing.

It probably helps that Pike Brewing Company is so close to Pike Place Market and that they have a business arrangement with the Information Kiosk there. All I had to say was say microbrew and the friendly guy around the counter was giving me directions and handing me a discount coupon. Maybe I could have looked further, but I was in a "Shalom Bayit" moment. Gayle and I had just gotten off the Boat (Victoria Clipper from Victoria), we'd walked awhile, the cobblestone street at the Pike Place Market is hard on roller luggage, we had a lot of time before we had to be at the airport, and she was cranky and tired. Hence, a nearby place to sit and relax was what I needed first and foremost.

This place is big, noisy, and judging by the number of unbused tables, perhaps a little short handed. In hindsight, maybe this wasn't the best choice for peace and quiet. On the positive side, the beer is still good here and we enjoyed our shared Hummus Plate. We also appreciated that the front desk offered to put our bags away and that the guy waiting on us was fun, friendly, and fast. Most importantly, if gave us a chance to relax, refuel, and wish we had more time (including an overnight) in Seattle.
