A must must see. Easy to walk, stroll, run, ride bikes. Carriage Roads are easy use. You get the idea.

Step back in time at this elegant and relaxing restaurant used by the very rich during Bar Harbor's "hey day".

Jordan Pond House is located in Acadia National Park and is famous for their Popovers. While they offer a full menu, my favorite is to go in the afternoon for Popovers and tea. You can drive, hike, or bike to Jordan Pond House. Be sure to enjoy the views while there.

One of my all time favorites. Make a reservation, go very early because it is sometimes super hard to find a parking spot. If you go early, you can hike around the pond before having popovers on the lawn! I don't recommend eating a meal there. I have not found that their food is great, other than the popovers, which I love.

While in Acadia, drop by the Jordon Pond House and make sure you try their famous popovers. I love the blueberry sorbet popover. Best thing on the planet!

Jordan Pond House is a gift shop and restaurant located adjacent to Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. The restaurant is very popular and boasts a delicious looking menu (unfortunately, we didn't have time to stop there as the wait was pretty long). The gift shop is chock-full of fun park souvenirs and treats. They also have snacks, if you have a hankering.

Plan to stop here for their famous popovers or a full meal on your way to or from the park. It can be busy in the height of day, especially in the prime summer season so plan accordingly. I kept this as a 4 star rating due to the wait time that is commonplace at peak season.

A great place for lunch or popovers and on the lawn. A National park tradition. Go early as parking is always at a premium. If busy drop off your party at the front door. There are additional parking lots a short way away and there is lots of hiking and biking in the area as well.

We have always loved to end a hike at the Jordan Pond House for popovers and tea, or lobster stew and blueberry pie and homemade ice cream! We can sit at a table on the lawn and see the pond and the Bubble mountains (also one of our favorite hikes with multiple generations, up the South Bubble or around the Pond.

While you can get here by car or the Island Explorer, we always enjoy the challenging workout of biking from Eagle Lake to the Jordan Pond House. As the summer goes on, you'll pick wild blueberries from the field as you descend down to Jordan Pond from the outdoor seating. The pond itself teems with fish, tadpoles, and loons. The hour plus hike around the Pond also builds up your appetite for the fresh-backed popovers that are a house specialty. Try the lemonade (with sweetener syrup on the side) and the lobster bisque for a complete meal you won't forget.

Do not miss this!!! In the midst of Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park sits the Jordan Pond House. Make reservations and ask for outdoor seating. The scenic views are as amazing as the lobster stew and popovers. After lunch or tea plan to take the aprox 3 mile trail the meanders around the pond.

Although the original structure burned in '79, the setting is the same. A tradition for tea and popovers for generations, make a point of popping in after taking the trail up Sargent Mountain, or a brisk swim at Sand Beach. Remember one thing - when you ask for popovers you'll get your entire order, but they bring them out one at a time so they stay hot! Heavenly with plenty of butter and jam.

Views of Jordan Pond and the Bubble Mountains are awesome. Tea and popovers here have been an Acadia tradition since the mid 1800's when it was an all day overland round trip to the farmhouse where the farmer's wife made popovers for folks who made the journey. My favorite is a lunch of their wonderful soup and popovers! Lovely views of the Bubble Mountains across Jordan Pond. Conveniently located halfway through the most popular bicycle loop around the Carriage Roads, 10.5 miles that takes in both Eagle Lake and Jordan Pond.

We stopped in as part of a day doing the Acadia Park Loop, and loved the traditional afternoon tea with popovers (but being from the Northwest we had cappuccino instead of tea :-) the view of the lake/pond was gorgeous with fall color showing. Note that there is a second parking lot past the main lot, and although we almost left after finding no space in the main lot we easily got a space in the second lot and didnt have to wait at all to get seated.
