This is my favourite sunset view of the city. Grab a beer and some snacks from one of the convenience stores in Bascarsija before hiking up here. It's only a quick 15 minute walk up from the city centre. This can either be a sweet place to bring your friends, or a romantic spot to bring a date.

The yellow bastion is one of the most popular viewpoints in Sarajevo; it is especially striking at the sunset.

Part of the historic walls that surround the old city, the Yellow Fortress, which can be reached on foot in 15 minutes from the National Library, is the best view point in the city, especially to enjoy the sunset.

A walk to the Yellow Fortress can be tiring, we do not question it: it will repay you the spectacular view from here you can enjoy the whole city of Sarajevo. This bastion was part of the ancient city walls, dating back to the eighteenth century. It is a very popular place for locals, perfect for a romantic sunset walk. Nearby there are many cemeteries dating back to the war years, with white crosses all lined up.

The so-called Yellow Bastion is one of the best viewpoints of Sarajevo. It has a wide esplanade with tables and chairs for a beer and watch the sunset. But if you do not visit at that time, the views will also be incredible. We recommend you take your drink and enjoy the scenery. It can be reached by bus, but it is better to do it by walking.

Sarajevo is surrounded by hills and to find the best views of the city, you have to climb them. From the Yellow bastion, one of the defensive posts of the city, some very good photos are obtained. You can see the river, the cemeteries in the hills, the old library, the minarets of the mosques, the towers of the new part of Sarajevo. The esplanade of the viewpoint is wide and allows different shots and angles.
