The Forest Park is a traditional urban sector of the commune and city of Santiago in Chile. It is located in the northern sector of the historic center and the Barrio Lastarria. Here important cultural and recreational activities are carried out, being one of the main reference points of the capital. At its midpoint is the National Museum of Fine Arts and a headquarters of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

It integrates the network of parks on the south bank of the Mapocho River, bounded on the north by the Mapocho 42K Cycle Park, on the east by the Balmaceda Park and on the west by the Los Reyes Park.

Parque Florestal is a great place to chill out, play with the kids and dogs! There are also street artists. If you prefer quiet you can sit by a tree and read a book.

Santiago is remarkably green and this strip of park along the Mapocho river is a great place for bikers, joggers, or for just enjoying green space. One of many things that make Santiago a remarkably liveable city.

I love going to Parque Forestal on the weekend. It's a great place in which to hang out with friends, or to go for a pretty decent, but leisurely, bike ride every now and then. The Chilean government has installed special bicycle lanes which take you all the way from Santiago Centro to Las Condes, if you so choose, and it all starts in Parque Forestal close to the National Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art

Parque Forestal is just the best park in Santiago (in my opinion, of course). It's connected to every commune in the city and it's very diverse. On Sundays you have families enjoying the playground, jugglers practicing, intellectuals reading a book and students laying in the sun. It is a great place for running and biking. On Sundays there are circus acts and a wandering library. It is also really good if you like completos (Chilean hot dogs) because it's close to some of the best completo joints in town. Everything you could possibly need is right here, in the heart of the city.

This is a great place to people watch. It's also a great place to fountain watch, bird watch, dancing-youth watch, jogger-watch, and ice-cream-seller watch. Though it's narrow, and you never really evade the sound of the costanera highway on one side of you and the Alameda on the other, it's still a marvelous oasis.

Santiago's green lung, this park is so beautiful and perfectly located it just can't get any better. Well, maybe a few jumping beds would make it perfect

Parque Forestal is a very important park with beautiful gardens, trees, monuments, and sculptures that runs parallel with the Mapocho River extending from Mercado Central over to Plaza Italia.
