their website. They cover every genre, from R&B, to Electro, Future Bass to Alternative Rock etc. If you're looking for a place to find some rich guys, to sit back and polish your nails or to walk around on high heels and sip on your $30 margarita this is not the place for you. In fact, it's 18+ and I don't mind it at all. The young people here are in general super excited to see their artist and generally very talkative and friendly. The later the night gets the rowdier it gets, the thirstier and easier people get. It's pretty dark everywhere and you gotta be careful where you walk because there are steps everywhere. The securities are super chill and friendly.

The Observatory is a crowded music venue that has some great acts that you're probably looking for. Just watch your step and the numerous trashcans lying around. The drinks at least aren't too pricey inside and acoustic-wise, you'll get a great sound. Just mind the parking (pay, don't get towed or Uber).

The Observatory is located in an industrial part of Santa Ana, brings in a lot of great artist at reasonably priced tickets. A smaller venue, so wherever you are, you'll have a great view. A standing venue.

This is definitely one of the cheapest places to see your favorite bands. However, I'm not a huge fan of the layout or that they oversell their shows. It's really hard to enjoy a band when you're standing shoulder to shoulder with someone even in the very back!

Great place to be for a concert, if you have a favorite music artist there you like it.

I'm doing sports analogies to mix it up a bit, so here's my football version for Observatory:

First Down:
- Parking is ample, and free.
- Location is easily reached right off freeway.
- Two different rooms afford different viewing experiences.

Touchdown:

- Since change of promoters, Observatory pulls top class bands and DJ's
- The price is very affordable, especially for the Constellation Room

Fumble:

- It gets absurdly hot.
- Multiple concerts in an evening. There was a punk show when I came for an indie band, and with a polo shirt and jeans on, I felt like I might get curb stomped for being a hipster.
- (could be a fumble or a touchdown) For me, having this as an 18+ venue kind of weirds me out.

They have a parking lot right in front that is free, but if you get there too late they direct you to a second parking lot which costs $10... so make sure you get there early!

I liked that the venue was small, you get a pretty good view of whoever you are there to see. There are several tiers viewing the stage, which I think is even better than a single base floor for GA. Pretty cool venue, I would probably see another show here sometime.

So this was the venue for the OC Hopped Up party... I had a blast attending it, and found some fun things in conjunction with it.

This is like a small theater and I didnt make that connection initially. I believe that they would have some very nice plays here where you can be served food and alcohol like a dinner show/concert. I liked the set up quite a bit.

They have an orchestra/dance floor area, a large stage, two tiers, multiple bars, but only one restroom! There is an entry area pre show bar with some seats and a small stage type of area. Inside of the observatory proper there is a long bar running almost the length of the entire width of the room. There were two small hallways stopping that from happening, one for the kitchen, and one for the entrance. There were essentially 4 draft beer stands and 6 bartender locations possible. Upstairs there was a single large bar that would be able to accommodate an additional 2 bartenders.

The upstairs area has two rows of seating with a view of the stage/performance area. There is a slightly curving staircase that leads up to it between the entry bar and the observatory entrance on the right. The lower tier has 3 rows of seating as well. Please note that all of the rows of seating has a table with room for 6-10 people depending on their size. Picture a bunch of corner booths in a half moon shape from a restaurant.

The bathrooms were decently clean, however the mens urinals seemed to be up about 6" too high for most restroom users... no one wants the swirly feeling in a public restroom, please keep those things down a bit... thank you.

Overall this was a fun place to go. Lots of parking in the surrounding business lots, freeway accessible, but the sign for the location was tiny and a lot of people drove by it the first few times without realizing that it was the place they were going. Myself included...

I would be happy to check out this venue again nor another event, regardless of what it was.

Head and the Heart! This venue gets an eclectic assortment of performers from EDM artists to hip hop and folky bands like the Head and the Heart.
